Counter Slash, also translated as Retaliating Slash, is an ability introduced in Kingdom Hearts II. It allows the user to perform an airborne counterattack.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts II, Retaliating Slash is an action ability that costs 3 AP to equip. It is an aerial finisher activated by pressing Square after being knocked into the air. Unlike Aerial Recovery, it does not provide invulnerability. When executed in Valor Form or Wisdom Form, Sora will simply perform the basic aerial attack of those respective forms.

In Kingdom Hearts III, Counter Slash is an action ability that costs 4 AP to equip. It is a reprisal activated by pressing X after a successful block and allows Sora to perform a slash that sends a nearby enemy flying. It cannot be equipped alongside other reprisals.
