This is the page for listing articles, templates, categories, or other pages to discuss deletion. Voice your opinion on the deletion of these items by adding a bulleted comment and signing your name at the end of your comment with ~~~~. Once a discussion has concluded, an administrator will close the discussion. Discussions may be archived a week after being closed.

In order to keep things moving along on this page, the following rules are in place:

1. Post the article, category, or media to a new section. To add a new heading, click the "+" button at the top of the page or click here. You will be given a box to input a header or topic.

2. In the heading or right under it, place a link to the article or media in question. If we can't find it, we can't delete it! Also, please do not give a URL link, or we won't know it has been deleted afterwords!

• To list an article, type [[article title]].
• To list a category type [[:Category:Name of category]]. Remember the colon in the beginning or it won't link correctly.
• To list a template, type {{tname|name of template}} to generate a link to the template.

3. Post Keep, Delete, or Merge and a short reason that action should take place. Make sure to add your signature (~~~~).

4. NO talk templates (talk bubbles) may be used on this page. If one is posted, it will be removed.

KHUX character art

Both nominated for deletion because they're edited versions of File:App Icon 5 KHUX.png and File:2nd Anniversary artwork KHUX.png, with the former sourced to a fan publication on Tumblr. The reasoning, as I understand it was at the time, was to post a more accurate image of the characters instead of their appearances in KHUX, see Talk:Skuld. I'm still in disagreement with using the artwork. We've always used latest in-game appearance renders, not artwork, so I'm in favor of removing these images. Additionally, the Skuld image is sourced, again, to a fan Tumblr image, which makes it fanart (I don't see an official artwork image for this on the wiki or otherwise). I did want to open it to discussion, though, since it was agreed recently to upload the images in the first place. KeybladeSpyMaster 06:00, 28 February 2018 (UTC)

Both images have been deleted per our policy (fanarts are not allowed on the wiki, after all), and red links are removed. You know, KSM, with your admin rights back, you have the function to delete images now, too. In any case, thank you very much. :)--NinjaSheik 19:47, 28 February 2018 (UTC)

Ah. The Pages of Deletion isn't really used for that sort of thing, since it's primarily used for users to requests and notify admins if they need something deleted off the KHWiki. If you wanted to have an open discussion about whether an image should be allowed on the KHWiki, then that's something that needs to be brought on the file's talk page. List of Kingdom Hearts series tracks

Delete: List of Kingdom Hearts series tracks

Every track on this page has its own article. Each track is already categorized, not to mention the fact that they all appear in Template:Music, making this page doubly redundant. Plus, the page only covers about a third of the tracks in the series and is already heinously long. It might be worth saving an archive of the page (in a User/KHWiki/Forum space), but the page itself ought to go. — Aid1043 (talk) 19:57, 29 September 2022 (UTC)

I agree. It's incomplete, redundant, and a bit of a mess. I don't see any reason to archive it, either, if we got all information from it on the individual pages. Also, really great work on those pages! TheSilentHero 17:42, 30 September 2022 (UTC)

I agree that the page is bloated, but I have a temporary objection. Right now, you can search a track's page to find where it played, but have no easy way to do the reverse: to find "the song that plays when Terra talks to Cinderella at the start of Castle of Dreams." I actually do this all the time and keep coming back to this page to help me. Character themes are listed on a character's page, and World themes on a World page, but Boss themes haven't been listed on Boss pages, and Event themes are completely unlisted outside of the music page. The music pages are great (I use them all the time too!), but no force on earth will convince the wiki search to give me the page for "Tears of the Light" if I punch in "Cinderella" or "Terra." I recommend we do something like this: list boss battle music on Boss pages, and then either 1) Come up with a permanent solution for listing event music in a way that's easy to "content search," like maybe listing and summarizing each Theater Mode scene on the World page, maybe? Event battles? I'm open to suggestions. Or 2) Transfer the data from this page to complete the "Where songs play" post in the Ansem's Computer forum, which is still missing KH3 data and who knows what else. The Ansem's Computer version is easier to search for content because it summarizes scenes, but this page includes their Theatre Mode names, and that's searchable too. Either way, Ansem's Computer is the right place for bloated data if it has to exist at all. - Blackdrazon (talk) 12:46, 13 October 2022 (UTC)

Good point, I was noticing myself that a bunch of boss pages haven't had music added yet. While I don't think there's a clean way to list events or cutscenes outside of a music-dedicated page – what qualifies as an "event"? what about cutscenes that take place in multiple worlds? what about cutscenes without set worlds? etc. – I'm all for updating the Ansem's Computer forum. (I actually have cutscene track data for KHIII, but it has at least 50 tracks or arrangements that were never released on the album, so I'm working on a good way to bring it over.) —Aid1043 (talk) 14:47, 13 October 2022 (UTC)

The "Where songs play" forum will stay (because it's a forum), so you can always use that to search for stuff. And if you want to complete it, that's fine. For mainspace, the only idea I can come up with is improving our Theater Mode page, giving each game a table with a column for the name, a description, and which tracks play during the scene. It would require a lot of work, though, especially since most games have only a list of cutscene names as of now. TheSilentHero 15:25, 13 October 2022 (UTC)

I like the idea of doing it on Theater Mode, it seems like a good place for it, and the table format will definitely work. "What counts as an event?" is still a concern, but between character pages, world pages, updated boss pages, and an upgraded Theater Mode page, I think we'd have covered a solid 95%. Battles with unusual themes seem like the biggest oversight, but if you think about it, they usually spring off of cutscenes where the battle music starts playing before the scene ends (and there's nothing that would kill us from mentioning it in the off-chance that it doesn't). What else am I overlooking... minigames could have the track listed on their page. World maps on the Kingdom Hearts Universe page? But those are quibbles. We'd have pretty decent coverage with Theater Mode, I think it's a solid plan. - Blackdrazon (talk) 18:59, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
