In Norse mythology, Odin is the chief of the Æsir gods and king of Asgard. Wōden is the Old English form of the name. Odin is also present in the Final Fantasy franchise, albiet as a Summon riding on Sleipnir wielding both Zantetsuken and Gungnir. His appearance here reflects his traditional appearance in Norse mythology closer than in Final Fantasy in the guise as a wanderer.
