(Avatar Shift also works if you simply tap square in combat. He dodges forwards in the direction tilted if using the analog stick, but if you just press square without moving he just dodges backwards, still spawning a mirage. Also, the mirages are always in Sora's base form, regardless if he's in toy, monster, or pirate form.) |

Avatar Shift (アバターシフト Abatā Shifuto ) is an ability in Kingdom Hearts III. It allows the user to create a double when dodging.
Mechanics
In Kingdom Hearts III, Avatar Shift is a mobility ability exclusive to the Mirage Staff Formchange. While in combat, tilting and pressing allows Sora to spawn an ethereal copy of himself. Four copies of Sora can be active at a time. No matter what world he is in, the copies will all be of Sora's normal human form.
