Iago

Iago is Jafar's parrot companion and the anti-hero of Disney's Aladdin. He appears in all the Kingdom Hearts games.

Kingdom Hearts

Jafar's cunning, crotchety parrot. He's Jafar's eyes and ears as he flies around Agrabah, spying on his master's enemies. Iago takes after Jafar, with a penchant for intrigue and evil. Iago is always up to no good and hates being small because he's always getting crushed by Jafar when Jafar doesn't know where he is, he sees it frustrating and hard, he sometimes gets ideas that Jafar never gets...well Jafar never gets ideas...Iago is always getting chased by Carpet. Iago always there for Jafar, once Jafar dies who knows what will happen next, maybe he'll start a new life, nah that will be to hard or a parrot like him. "Aladdin"

Kingdom Hearts

In Kingdom Hearts, Iago is Jafar's servant. He plays a minor role, normally just appearing on Jafar's shoulder in cinematics, but he does steal the lamp from Aladdin. He later appears holding Jafar's lamp in the boss battle, and he flies around with it. The lamp is one of the ways to do damage to Jafar's health. Like the movie, Iago tries to fly away at the downfall of Jafar, but ends up in the lamp as well.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

Iago makes a small cameo appearance in Chain of Memories, holding the lamp during the Jafar boss battle, like in the first game.

Kingdom Hearts II

In Kingdom Hearts II, Iago, like The Return of Jafar, is finally free from Jafar's lamp. When he meets Sora and the others again he tries to convince them that he has turned over a new leaf, although only Goofy seems to believe him until he saved them from a bunch of Heartless.

He wants to prove himself to Aladdin that he has become good. He does so by taking Jafar's lamp from Pete, which proves his loyalty, until Jafar is released and he is forced to trick them into going to the ruins and destroys their trust. When they go back to Agrabah to face Jafar, Iago blocks an attack aimed for Aladdin from Jafar and proves himself a friend again.
