The Book of Prophecies.
The Book of Prophecies (予知書 Yochi sho) is a book that was introduced in Kingdom Hearts χ. It appears when traveling to another world and is the source of the fragments (フラグメント furagumento) or cards that are handed out by the Moogle. These cards allow the players to use the power of the future.
Story
Kingdom Hearts χ
According to Chirishii, before its creator disappeared, he bestowed his six followers with new names and gave five of them a tome of prophecy. These five followers would become the Foretellers and read the future written in the tome. One passage on the last page shocked them all:
- "The war in that place will lead to the defeat and destruction of the Light.
The World will be enveloped in eternal Darkness.[1]"
To save the world from destruction the Foretellers use the power hidden in book and hand it on to the followers of their respective union.
