| * In December 2013, I finally bought a PS3! I had waited until the price had dropped, and I also bought it in anticipation of ''1.5 Re:MIX'' and ''2.5 Re:MIX''! My brother and I now play KH together, as I miraculously got him into liking the series as well, via BbS. KH has definitely brought us closer together as siblings, which is yet another reason as to why KH is literally my life. Intro
Hello! My name is Samantha and I'm a South African ex-pat living in England. I've been a fan of the KH series since 2008, and it's my biggest fandom. I'm such a stickler for correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling - so I thought I'd put my skills to good use via the KH Wiki. Anyway, that's all for now. Feel free to contact me on my talk page if you need anything!
Keyblade Wielders Anonymous
Hi, my name is Samantha, and I'm addicted to Kingdom Hearts. There, I said it. Recognition is the first step towards recovery, right? Right?
- So in a nutshell, a cousin introduced me to the series in 2008 - and I haven't looked back since! Although I wasn't allowed any home consoles as a child or a teenager, I was determined to cement my liking for the KH series, and watched every single cutscene I could online. I had a Nintendo DS, and was happy and content that a KH game was soon announced for the console. I just knew my patience would pay off. I've never really had many friends; I've had to abandon a lot of them due to betrayals on various levels, so I was immediately drawn into KH because of the theme of friendship. I could get through a rough day at school, knowing that my real friends were inside the cutscenes I avidly watched on my PC.
- In 2009, the wait was over! I played 358/2 Days for hours each day until I literally developed a minor case of RSI in both wrists. Yeah, that's how addicted I became! Not something I'm entirely proud of, but fortunately my wrists became better over time. I was, again, betrayed by so-called "friends" during my time at college, which made me cling onto KH even more.
- Skip forward to 2010 - I had left college and I was suffering from a bout of on-off depression brought on by the fact that I was struggling to find my second job. I'd had a 6-week long admin assistant contract, and used my wages to buy a PSP and Birth by Sleep. I cannot explain how much BbS helped me through such a difficult time in my life. I played 150+ hours on BbS (can't you just tell that I have an addictive personality?) and became influenced to become a stronger person because of the story and what the characters went through. This definitely helped me during job interviews, and after 9 months of unemployment, I finally landed a job in retail. Birth by Sleep: Final Mix shortly followed, as I was desperate to play the extra missions!

Over the past year or so, I had learned how to relatively control my KH addiction - and luckily I had work keeping me occupied for the majority of the time anyway. A particular moment in BbS had made me cry, and it was towards the end of DDD that I experienced another emotional moment.
