The first volume of the Kingdom Hearts II manga was originally published in 2007 by Tokyopop. The series was later picked up by Yen Press not long after, releasing the first volume in 2013. The first volume details the complete story of Roxas, Sora's awakening, and the events at Beast's Castle.
