Dream Pieces are special ingredients used to create Spirit Dream Eaters in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. Similar to other kinds of materials featured in other games of the series, Dream Pieces come in a large variety of types. They have certain "graduation" inside each type of Dream Piece: the figments, the fancies, and the fantasies (just like shards, stones, gems, and crystals in Kingdom Hearts II). Since the Dream Pieces represent fragments of dreams, their types are named after different kinds of ideas and feelings that are present in dreams.

Types

The types of Dream Pieces present in the game are: Brilliant, Charming, Dulcet, Epic, Fleeting, Grim, Intrepid, Lofty, Malleable, Noble, Prickly, Rampant, Savage, Troubling, Vibrant, Wild, and Wondrous. Like stated above, there are major three types of each, figments, fancys, and fantasys.

Drop Information

Please note that the each sleeping world is listed separate and that the information is different for each sleeping world.

• Traverse Town:
  • Lofty Figments are obtained from Tatsu Steed Nightmares. They are also obtained from Woeflowers (in the Traverse Town's Garden).
  • Noble Fancys are obtained from Fin Fatale Nightmares.
  • Grim Figments are obtained from Staggerceps.
  • Grim Fancys are obtained from Staggerceps.

• La Cité des Cloches
• Pranksters Paradise:
  • Intrepid Figments are obtained from Kooma Panda Nightmares.
  • Troubling Figments are obtained from Komory Bat Nightmares.
  • Vibrant Fancys are obtained from Jestabocky Nightmares (Monstro)

Purchase

Dream Pieces can be purchased from the Moogle Shop. Figments are the least expensive and Fantasies are the most expensive. Prices of the dream pieces vary according to each sleeping world. Different Moogle Shops will carry different Dream Pieces, you will have to check another sleeping world in order to buy a specific Dream Piece. Each Moogle Shop from the all of the sleeping worlds will benefit with every drop. Your quantity of drops can be seen in the save menu.
