Mega Flare (メガフレア Mega Furea ) is a technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. Once used, the caster fires a fireball that creates a blinding, screen-distorting explosion that heavily damages all enemies on-screen, dealing Fire-type damage.
In the international and Final Mix releases of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, the power of Mega Flare was reduced from the original Japanese release for the purpose of balancing combat.

In Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, Mega Flare is an Attack Sleight that can be used by Sora.

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Mega Flare is an Ultimate magic command that takes up two slots in the Command Deck, has a maximum level of 6 and a normal reload time of 50 seconds (25 seconds in the original Japanese version), and fills the Command Gauge by 55%.
In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, Mega Flare is a Type A Overclock Finisher. It is more powerful when used at higher Clock levels.

Origin
Mega Flare is a recurring attack in the Final Fantasy series. It often appears as the Summon creature Bahamut's signature attack. It is depicted as an upgraded form of the Flare spell, and deals massive non-elemental damage to all enemies.
