I know that some here prefer to keep "Black Guard" because of the early magazines released for the game, but I feel strongly that Journal outranks magazines any day. The game refers to these characters as "Guards". I'd like to discuss moving to the Journal title, and how we'll handle it. Change "Guards" to "Guard"? Does anyone remember the Cards of Wonderland and the Undead Pirates of Port Royal? Well, in some of the gameplays I saw these past few days, I actually saw both Sora and Riku fight some of the Black Guards. I'm unsure why they'll fight Riku during normal gameplay, since they managed to capture him... though he did escape. They begin to fight Sora after their failed attempt to "arrest" him for (presumally) refusing to show any ID (Sora was almost put on a Regonizer, but he broke free and ran off, while Riku simpally walked into one without any of the guards holding him).
