{{Soxra|roxas=I do agree that the anons registering to vote was just... meh... but, yeah. It was kind of an implied covenant to the entire thing.
I also think that too much raging went in the Observatories. It just got out of hand.
But TKW was a BLAST! It was so much fun just to watch the characters fight for their futures. I honestly enjoyed every minute of it!
So here's my list of pros:
#Super fun. | |||
#Great idea, the character battle is one that shall never get old.
#Though a couple deadlines were missed, it was generally well-managed and the sockpuppeting was dealt with maturely and logically.
#It was well-advertised throughout the Wiki and had great user participation.
Cons: | |||
#Anons just hopping in for their say and leaving.
#*Sockpuppeting, too.
#Raging in the Observatories.
#There wasn't a whole lot to do from Saturday-Thursday. Not sure how this could be overcome, if at all.
#There will never be any end-of-the-year this awesome again.
And now for Door's questions:
*Was The Keyblade War still in balance with actual wiki work; did it possibly distract from other issues, such as Wikia imposing Oasis on us?
**'''Yes, it was quite distracting. I think a lot of attention was diverted away from the Revote (which still remains inactive, and must be REACTIVATED!) and kind of put a damper on the community's motivation to get movin' on. It did balance with the Wiki's general editing though.
*Was not allowing anons and not having any rules on the comments okay?
**'''Yes, no, respectively.
*How could a tournament akin to this one be improved if it was to be repeated?
**'''Ehh... new characters? Or, maybe not characters at all, worlds? Are there enough? Probably not.
**How was the progression of the combatants?
***'''Not sure how to answer this one really. I didn't like who got to the end and why, but I'm not sure if that's personal opinion or what.
**Were there notable issues you saw in the voting (besides the Aqua thing that I'm sure is just bound to be said)?
***'''The Aqua thi—Oh. Um... No, not really. I didn't like a lot of the reasons that were put up. I know we didn't impose any restrictions on the voting reasons (which is probably good) but this DID irk me.
**What were some of your favorite things about TKW?
***'''See Pros, above.
**What were some of your least favorite or disliked things about TKW?
***'''See Cons, above.
*What else would you enjoy doing for a year ending event?
**'''I'll get back to you in July. I definitely can't think of anything right now.
*How could the community have been more involved in planning this event that would have resulted in a better turnout and more users satisfied?
**'''If the rules were put forth in September so that they could be reviewed by the community, that would have been good. Though, in all honesty, I'm not sure we would have seen the issues that developed coming.
Thanks to all who worked so hard to set it up!|time={{User:Soxra/Sig|t=10:26am, January 1, 2011 (UTC)}}}} |
