What you are all missing and I should have said this to start with, is that Final Mix, any Final Mix, isn't about just bringing the English voices to the Japanese. The purpose is to give Japanese audiences the full North American and European version of Kingdom Hearts. And that includes the voices overs, the English version of the theme song, bosses that the NA and PAL versions of the game had but Japan didn't with several exclusive features as well. If English voice acting is a given then the English theme song is also a given because that's part of the product that Square Enix is trying to give to the Japanese audiences.

::: That's what I meant by a given, you idiot. What are you so lawful stupid that you can't even tell the difference? Oh yeah, you are an idiot and I don't mind saying so. You're all a bunch of morons if you need written proof for a theme song that was in all freaking versions of the stupid game. But of course you are not going to take that into consideration because it's your way and no one else's can matter can it? So fuck you.

Music Video

Someone needs to find a good Youtube video or two to put on this page. This is the only Kingdom Hearts original song that has a page (other than the awful Atlantica songs) without a music vid...75.9.54.124 01:00, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

got one but can't post here goes one if you need it it's a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esH_JcqCecA&feature=related KingdomKey August 2008

  • I think we totally need a video of the ending, cuz' that does the whole song, while the one we have leaves out a lot of the lyrics.--Game-fanatic 17:39, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

We aren't doing that, as that's copyright infringement. - EternalNothingnessXIII 17:40, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

  • Well, what's different from using the opening of the game, than using the ending?--Game-fanatic 17:46, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

I personally have no clue. Even using the whole song from the beginning is copyright. Wait for an admin or mod to see this. I'm sure they can straighten this out. - EternalNothingnessXIII 17:47, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

  • Oh, it actually looks like you were talking to KingdomKey. Sorry. But we have the opening video of Kingdom Hearts, which is good, but I think we should also get a video of the ending of Kingdom Hearts, because, as I've said before, it has the whole song, while the beginning of the game is just a remix of "Simple and Clean"--Game-fanatic 17:55, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Videos?

Are videos allowed on this page? We already have the music samples, plus wouldn't videos violate copyright in some way?--Xion4ever 03:38, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

A message from Ventus?

I was recently listening to the reversed version of Simple andd clean, and the lyrics (or fake words, if you will) sounded a lot like Ventus was sending a message to Aqua.

Here are some of the lines that I heard:

Help me adjust this bond

Ten years on I will send you a hero

Sit down and sleep

It will begin in the world of eternal memories

Help him with the heart that I had lost

I get the feeling that it's a message for Aqua from Ventus.

Smilarly, the reversed version of Sanctuary seems to be a message to Aqua from Terra.

Comments?

That really sounds like you're hearing things, honestly.Glorious CHAOS! 21:28, March 8, 2010 (UTC)

head to yotube then, and search for simple and clean reversed subbed. You'd be surprised. Dragonraptyr 01:49, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

Was just listening to this backwards, unclear but I definitely heard it. Does someone think that we should include this somewhere in the article? My guts saying no. The Yoshiman 97 00:43, March 16, 2010 (UTC)

I heard it the reversed sanctuary also seems to have MX and there is a line in simple and clean that didn't make much sense something like "he is evil" how is sora evil, and no we shouldn't add it to the article since it is speculation--Xabryn 03:26, April 23, 2010 (UTC)

"Simple and Clean is the theme song of Kingdom Hearts, written and sung by Utada Hikaru, featured in Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, as well as their remakes, and is also featured in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep."

Um...Please explain this to me, Why does it say "is the theme song of Kingdom Hearts" and "featured in Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, as well as their remakes, and is also featured in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep.". It's not the only theme song in the Kingdom Hearts Series(Sanctuary the other). Shouldn't it say something like Simple and Clean is the theme song for (list games here) and blah blah blah. Like it is for the Sanctuary >.< I'm just confused.

Simple and Clean in BbS Final Mix

It seems people believe that Simple and Clean being in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix is speculative. Why? Not counting that the recent trailer confirmed that Simple and Clean would be the theme song, but let's just look at the past releases of Final Mix games. Kingdom Hearts Japanese version has Hikari, English KH has Simple and Clean, Final Mix has Simple and Clean. Same goes for Passion/Sanctuary in the different versions of Kingdom Hearts II. If that is not enough, the English track is used for Birth by Sleep Final Mix, so the English version of the theme song would be used as well.

This isn't speculative, it's just how it is. Simple and Clean is the theme song of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix

Okay not to be rude but this just has to be said. Anyone who thinks that Simple and Clean not being the theme song of the game despite the mountain of evidence and past experiences with Final Mix releases fails every piece of logical thinking known to mankind.

Don't make me laugh. — 01:48, January 1, 2011 (UTC)

What mountain of evidence? All we have are past experiences. How do we know that Nomura won't throw a curveball at us and use I Want it That Way, by the Backstreet Boys, as the main theme music? We don't have actual, written proof of the theme song of the game. Also, we usually don't consider trailers as hard evidence.

The English voice track. (they wouldn't put the Japanese theme song in an English speaking Kingdom Hearts game) The trailer (btw, Square Enix wouldn't put the song in the trailer if it was not going to be used as the theme song, they don't work that way) Past Final Mix games (all use the English Theme Song)

I mean come on. This is a no-brainer.

None of that is written proof. We knew a lot of things before games came out. We knew Jesse McCartney was going to be Ventus, but we didn't write it in the articles until the game came out, since there was no written proof. We know it's obvious, but there is no written proof. Chitalian8 01:56, January 1, 2011 (UTC)

It's different with that. Voice actors are different, they are subject to being replaced and we did have written proof that Jesse McCartney was going to voice Ventus, but nobody considered because Roxas appeared in the game as well. We don't need written proof for a song because they've done it before and they will continue doing so until they end of the series. We have the name of the song, we have the fact that it was used in the previous version of Birth by Sleep and we know for a fact that Nomura will never change the theme song. That is written down proof. And by the way, the Japanese aren't like American when it comes to trailers. Any song that is used in Japanese made trailers will appear in the game or movie or anime.

No, anything in a trailer is never 100% true, look at Deleted content in the Kingdom Hearts series, even if it a song, voice actor, or scene, not untill its out or there a source, its spec. UnknownChaser 02:10, January 1, 2011 (UTC)
They are never going to change the theme song. That's why we can say without a doubt that Simple and Clean is the theme song of the game. And if that is true about trailers, then obviously Hikari wasn't the theme song of the Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts since it appeared in the trailer.
EDIT CONFLICT:Also, VA's are no different than anything else. Also, "we don't need written proof" is a taboo phrase on the wiki. There always needs to be proof. And something that Nomura has done for so long, using the original theme songs for the Final Mixes, is not written proof, it's just something that he does. Chitalian8 02:14, January 1, 2011 (UTC)
Let me ask you this then. If Simple and Clean is not the theme song, then will they make an entirely new opening for a new song?
We all know that it will probably be the same opening, but there's. No. Proof. Again, who's to say the opening won't be different? Chitalian8 02:23, January 1, 2011 (UTC)
And who is to say it will? But we both know that they won't so why are we arguing about it? Sometimes you don't need proof in order to know that something is going to happen and we both know that Simple and Clean will in fact be the theme song. Written proof is definitely better than little proof, but sometimes it's just a given fact that some things will remain the same.
I agree with the anon. Even though we have a strict policy of not adding info without citations, and even though there is absolutely no solid evidence that "Simple and Clean" will be the theme song, and even though we have rock solid proof that trailers are unreliable as to the finished product, we should totally post that Simple and Clean is the theme song for BBSFM, and also that it cures cancer."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 03:03, January 1, 2011 (UTC)
Please tell me that was sarcasm. maggosh 03:04, January 1, 2011 (UTC)
I am pretty certain it is.
Definitely sarcasm. A good example for "trailer music" is KHI's trailer. In the final release, was Destati the music used as the theme? no. And besides the first BBSFM trailer uses "Enter the Darkness" as it's music, how do we know that it won't BE the theme for the game? .................you're joking right? Because it's a very bad joke if you are.

The English voice acting isn't a given - it was explicitly stated by Nomura in the most recent interview."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 19:13, January 1, 2011 (UTC)
