Donald's weapon of choice is the magical "Staff."

There are two types of staffs: "hammers" and "staves".
- Staves give MP point increases and enhance Donald's ability to do magic, such as the Dream Rod
- Hammers allow Donald to deal stronger blows and grant a STR bonus, such as the Grand Mallet
A Staff is even in the beginning Awakenings for Sora and Roxas in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II. If the Dream Rod is chosen in the Awakening of Sora or Roxas, he will be allowed to use them for a small time during the Awakening.
