When using Berserk Charge, you cannot use a finishing move to kill the majority of bosses throughout the game (including Sephiroth, Xemnas, or many Heartless bosses). This is because they have a variation of Once More equipped that forces you to kill them using a finishing move. However, this can be advantageous, as it can be used to deal massive amounts of damage to the boss until a finishing move is necessary. Sora can also use Upper Slash (ground) or Horizontal Slash (aerial) attacks to finish off an opponent during MP Charge.

Berserk Charge is an ability that appears in Kingdom Hearts II. It increases the user's strength during MP Charge, while allowing attack combos to continue endlessly by disabling the combo finisher.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts II, Berserk Charge is a support ability that costs 5 AP to equip. While the ability can be used to deal a great deal of damage without allowing an enemy to recover, most bosses cannot be defeated while Berserk Charge is in effect, as they can only be defeated with a finishing move. However, Upper Slash or Horizontal Slash can be used during a combo to finish off an opponent, as can magic.
