''[[wikipedia:Acrisius|Acrisius]]'' is the name of one of the kings of [[wikipedia:Argos|Argos]] in Greek mythology.  He and his twin brother [[wikipedia:Proetus|Proteus]] were to share the throne after the death of their father [[wikipedia:Abas, son of Lynceus|Abas]], but Acrisius exiled  Proteus; it was only after Proteus returned with the backing of his father-in-law, the King of Lycia, that Acrisius turned his share of the kingdom over to his twin.  Acrisius is probably most famous, however, as the grandfather of the hero [[wikipedia:Perseus|Perseus]].
