Kairi: Difference between revisions

As Kairi trains with Lea, she is a little scared of him, even as he constantly apologizes for kidnapping her when he was Axel. However, Kairi warms up to Lea as their training progresses and they start getting to know each other, seeing him as someone she can't bring herself to hate when she learns that he also has a friend that he's trying to save. Kairi notices that Lea sometimes stares at her face, and asking him what's wrong, Lea would say he doesn't know, but feels like it's something he should remember.{{fact}}<!--http://kh13.com/news/exclusive-canon-back-story-for-kingdom-hearts-iii-shown-at-kingdom-hearts-orchestra-world-tour-in-japan-->

{{spoiler}} Kairi continues writing her letter to Sora when she notices Lea staring at her again. She asks him whats wrong and Lea quickly dismisses it. Lea asks her if she is writing a letter. She confirms this and when asked if it was for Sora, she states that while it is technically for him, she wont send it, since it is more for her. Lea suggest that she ask Merlin to deliver it for her, but she states its fine because she simply likes talking to Sora, even if its on paper. Lea surprises Kairi with ice cream that he got from Merlin. Kairi notices Lea staring at her once again and asks him why. Lea attempts to dismiss it but Kairi figures he's trying to remember what he [[Xion|forgot]]. Kairi tries to change the subject by asking him fi he is ready for their training session planned for the next day when she says something similar to what Xion once told Axel before her death. Lea looks at Kairi and sees Xion. He drops his Ice cream and begins to cry. Kairi tries to comfort him and Lea apologizes and tries to leave. Kairi asks him to stop apologizing and Lea states on one condition; she can call him Axel.

Shortly after, Merlin drops off the new clothes for Kairi and Lea made by the [[Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather|three good fairies]]. Kairi puts on her new clothes and cuts her hair. She asks lea if he is going to put on his new clothes since he wears the same thing everyday. He states there is no need  thinking if it isn't broke, don't fix it. Lea goes on to say that wearing his black coat makes him easier to remember. Kairi then talks to Lea about how she is sure that since Roxas can be saved even though he is inside Sora, then Naminé can be saved too. She states she doesn't feel right with Naminé being inside of her, since she can't enjoy life or the present scenery herself, feeling like she had no right to take that away from her. Lea then proceeds to talk about Ventus and how they became friends and how Roxas looks identical to him.  

When Kairi and Lea finish their training, they return to the Mysterious Tower with Sora, Riku, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and the newly restored Aqua and Ventus. Aqua recognizes Kairi as the little girl she and Mickey saved in Radiant Garden many years ago. Kairi admits she doesn't recall much of her time on Radiant Garden. Even though she doesn't remember anything about that day she thanks Aqua for saving her. When Sora starts to feel down about not being able to have everyone back, Kairi tells Sora that they will save them all, including Naminé. Yen Sid tells everyone to rest up for their final battle tomorrow.

Sora, Riku, and Kairi return to Destiny Islands. Riku states he needs time for himself, and proceeds to have a heart to heart with the [[Riku-Replica]]. Kairi sits with Sora on a Paopu fruit tree. She then gives Sora a paopu fruit laying out all of her feelings, telling Sora she wants to be a part of his life no matter what. Sora promises to keep Kairi safe but Kairi says it's her turn to keep him safe. They then proceed to share a paopu fruit together.

When everyone arrives at the [[Keyblade Graveyard]], the guardians of light stumble across Terra-Xehanort, initially believed to be Terra. Terra-Xehanort proceeds to knock out Ventus, Sora, and Lea (the latter got hurt defending Kairi). Terra-Xehanort proceeds to attempt to strike Kairi down when Sora immediately gets up and embraces her for her safety. When Terra-Xehanort tried to cut down Sora and Kairi, his attack is blocked by Goofy which blows him back. Donald proceeds to cast his ultimate magic Zettaflare, despite Goofy's pleas not to. When the attack finishes. Terra-Xehanort is gone but Donald collapses from over-use of Magic. Riku and Kairi then check on an unconscious Lea while Aqua checks on Ventus. A demon tide soon appears and proceeds to grab everyone and drag them into the giant storm of heartless. As Sora gets taken away, he is sent to the Final World, a world of limbo where a heart goes when it dies but is clinging on to something from life. When Sora encounters Namine, she states that Kairi is the one clinging onto him, preventing his death. Sora then proceeds to use the power of waking to save Riku, Lea, Donald, Goofy, Mickey, and Ventus. When he saves them all, Sora encounters Kairi. They two happily join hands upon their reunion. Kairi then tells Sora that he beleived he wouldn't fade away, and that saved him. Sora then tells Kairi he feels strong with her. Kairi holds Sora's hand and proceeds to take him back to the Keyblade Graveyard to redo their previous fight. Sora thanks Kairi and the group proceeds to redo their battle.  

They once again encounter Terra-Xehanort. But just before history repeats itself, the Lingering Will appears who was guided there by Namine. Terra-Xehanort and the Lingering Will leave and continue their battle. Just then, thousands of heartless, nobodies and unversed appear. The group bands together and everyone proceeds to individually wipe out thousands of enemies. Just when it seems that the flood of enemeies is non-stop and the guardians will once again fall, Yen Sid appears to light a path for the Keyblade Wielders. Everyone except for Donald and Goofy proceed to face off against Xehanort and the Organization. Xehanort arrives with his Organization XIII and summons pillars that will separate the guardians to fight a battle separately.

Kairi and Lea face off together against Xion and Saix. After fighting for a while, Sora appears to give them a hand. Saix shortly afterwards goes berserk and blows back Kairi and Sora. As he moves to finish them off Lea stands in the way. When Lea is on the ground, Xemnas appears and attempts to kill Lea. He is soon stopped by Xion who tells him they need him alive. Xemnas states that only his heart is necessary and they can part with his soul. Xemnas then orders Xion to kill Lea. Before she can, she is stopped by Sora. Xion memories soon completely return to her as well as her heart inside of Sora. Xion tries to bury her emotions by repeatedly swinging her keyblade at Sora. Sora in tears, tells Xion its okay and Roxas soon talks through Sora. Xion then stops attacking and proceeds to scream in pain as all of her old memories and feelings resurface. Xemnas then proceeds to kick Xion down which removes her hood, allowing all of Lea's memories of her to return. Lea attempts to stop him but doesn't have the strength to do so. Just before Xemnas can kill Xion, Roxas' heart leaves Sora's body and enters the Vessel waiting for him that was sent to the Keyblade Graveyard by Zexion, Vexen, and Ansem the Wise. Roxas tells Xemnas how he was able to return and warns him to stay away from his friends. Xemnas then proceeds to grab Kairi, stating that since Sora now has other guardians of light, they can part with one. Xemnas then leaves with Kairi with Sora in hot pursuit after a battle with Saix with the help of Roxas and Xion. When confronting the last four seekers, Sora demands Xemnas tells him where Kairi is, but Xemnas stays silent. Sora tell Xehanort that the guardians of light won't fight the last four seekers to give Xehanort what he wants. Xehanort tells Sora that he always thinks a few steps ahead and Sora realizes they have no choice now, since Kairi has been taken hostage. After the defeat of Ansem, Xemnas, and Young Xehanort, Xehanort summons Kairi who is now unconscious. Sora tries to run to her location to save her, but Xehanort strikes her with his keyblade and her body disappears before Sora can get to her in an attempt to anger him in order to have their final clash necessary for recreating the X-blade. After the defeat of Xehanort Sora leaves using the Power of Waking in order to find Kairi and bring her home.

After Sora's departure, all of Sora's friends have a fun day on Destiny Isalnds. They then proceed to look at the Paopu fruit tree and notice Kairi and Sora sitting together holding hands. As the two are sharing a moment, Kairi and Sora look at each other. Kairi soon smiles and sheds a tear. Right after that, Sora fades away and Kairi looks down in sadness.{{spoilerend}}

In ''Kingdom Hearts III'', after completing her training with Lea and Merlin, Kairi is shown using the [[Faith|Pearl]], [[Fire]] and [[Cure]] spells during the battle against [[Xion]] and Saïx. She is also seen holding her own in single combat against Xion, even managing to incapacitate her temporarily before she is overwhelmed by Saix.
