Using the power of his Keyblade, Riku goes into the magical realm and finds the Sound Idea in the Snowgleam Wood, but the realm is then enveloped in darkness, forcing Riku to fall into it. Landing on Bald Mountain, Riku encounters [[Xehanort|the mysterious young man]], who explains that the Keyblade picked Riku first, but due to being unable to control his darkness, he lost it to Sora.
