Magic Launcher (マジックランチャー Majikku Ranchā?) is a Formchange in Kingdom Hearts III. It allows the user to transform the Keyblade into a cannon and launch magic orbs at enemies.

Story[edit]

In San Fransokyo, Sora uses the Magic Launcher while gathering data for Hiro Hamada. His usage of Magic Launcher inspires Honey Lemon to use different chem-ball methods.

Mechanics[edit]

In Kingdom Hearts III, Magic Launcher is the second Formchange of the Shooting Star Keyblade, associated with Element Form and following Double Arrowguns. It has a base duration of 20 seconds and a maximum combo length of 3. Its combos vary depending on Sora's distance from the enemy. When up close, Sora swings the cannon to strike enemies, finishing with Rising Blast, an upwards charged shot. When far away, Sora fires homing orbs of light and finishes with Final Impact, a stronger orb. Holding R2 activates Charged Shot, in which Sora fires orbs similar to Final Impact but with a larger blast radius. Magic Launcher uses Artillery-style Magic.

The Formchange's Finish command has Sora charge the cannon and fire a powerful shot that splits into several particles.

Abilities[edit]

Alongside the abilities from Element Form, Magic Launcher also has access to Backslide.

When close to the targeted enemy, Sora's combo consists of "Upper Left Swing", "Swing Right", and "Rising Blast".

When at a mid-long range, Sora's combo consists of "Artillery", "Artillery", and "Final Impact".
