I am playing through the game again and I found Lord Kyroo in a battle portal in Country of the Musketeers with Riku. Country of the Musketeers isn't listed as a world that it can be found. Chrono Trigger Reference[edit]

Is it possible this dream eater is based off the character Glenn, Aka Frog, from Chrono Trigger? Both are noble frogs who fight with swords and shealds and wear capes. I mean with the inclusion of the TWEWY characters, its possible that SE would make more references to their other series.
Ixbran (talk) 09:44, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

I'd call it coincidence if it wasn't for the fact that, like Glenn, Lord Kyroo speaks with a random Middle English accent shared by no other characters in their respective games. 68.111.220.213 19:38, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

He's a FROG PRINCE. It is the most obvious cliche, c'mon guys."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 07:13, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
LOL --Littleman (talk) 02:41, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
I beat it by fighting it at City of the Bells (not even going to try the French)-->Prankster's Paradise-->City of the Bells. In other words, it skipped Symphony of Sorcery. So I'm not entirely sure how it decides where to show up, but it's not quite right that it follows a fixed cycle. For those wondering, it was Riku->Sora->Riku.75.206.142.129 11:54, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
Pure coincidence, guys. This series does not do much references to serieses other than Final Fantasy (VII) or the Disney Animated Canon. I also consider a few scenes in the series that share similarities with the Harry Potter books and films pure coincidence (Excuse me on this, as I've just watched the second film only an hour before I wrote this).

For me, it just appears whenever it wants to, as I didn't bother with it as Riku in La Cité des Cloches, and it still appeared in Symphony of Sorcery later on. It also appeared in Prankster's Paradise, and again, I didn't bother attack it as Sora. UxieLover1994 12:06, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

Rare[edit]

Whence the claim there is a Rare Lord Kyroo?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 01:40, 6 February 2015 (UTC)

"Whence?" The one you fight as a technical secret boss does not have the same coloration as a normal Lord Kyroo encountered in other worlds after the one with multiple HP bars is defeated. - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 01:54, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
Source. Very different from the Nightmare image on the article. - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 01:55, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
But does anything actually classify it as a Rare Nightmare? Ultimania, game code, anything? If all we can confirm is that it's colored like a Rare Nightmare, we should just mention that in design, rather than have a trivia note alleging that the journal is bugged. Furthermore, if it's a Rare, why do we not have an image for it in the infobox or Dream Eater articles?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 04:21, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
Maybe because one was never released? You're right that this should just be mentioned in the design. The only Lord Kyroo with this coloration is the "secret boss." - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 04:27, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
Under profile where it states Spirit and Nightmare, with images, would it be possible to include an 'Alternative' or 'Secret Boss' tab so there is an image of the Lord Kyroo that Sora and Riku battle outside the portals? This would allow people to see what the design section is explaining. Musicfreekx (talk) 04:14, 24 January 2019 (UTC)
If we have one, sure."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 14:26, 24 January 2019 (UTC)

Spirit Strategy[edit]

GreninjaIcon%28SSBU%29.png
TheSilentHero used Hydro Pump! It's not very effective... — 07:51, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
Should the "As a Spirit" section be covered under Strategy? I thought Strategy was more about how to beat an enemy. I think we should move it to the Abilities section, like with other party members.

Command Table[edit]

Shouldn't the command table be using the same format as our other high-info density tables, like on Avatar Menu?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 06:32, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

If you're referring to the line break in the nihongo, it makes the table unnecessarily long, as opposed to the Avatar Menu tables, which have an image that causes the rows to be longer. Also, with the line breaks, you can't see the disposition names when looking at the bottom attacks. For tables like on Avatar Menu, this doesn't matter, as it only has a number, image, and name. TheSilentHero 12:27, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

Should the Flick Rush table be tabbed to the "Attacks" table? TheFifteenthMember 13:06, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

No, I meant designing the table so that the text was smaller and the table was tighter, so that it can be double-lined without being a mess. It's not very elegant right now."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 04:03, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
I don't see a problem with that. Although, I don't see why a double-lined nihongo is necessary when there is enough room for a single-lined one. TheSilentHero 16:46, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
It's mostly an issue on other tables because it leaves a lot of blank space and messes with alignment; splitting it into two lines minimizes the overall whitespace. I'll see what I can do to get this table into format with the table standard, then we can see whether one or two lines works best."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 18:44, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
I've created a tighter table, but I want to suggest a few additional changes:
  1. Merge the Flick Rush info, if possible - I believe this could be a percentage next to the check mark, or have two vertical cells where the check marks are.
  2. Omit nihongo for shared abilities, such as the Thunders, etc. We have these many places elsewhere, and there's little reason to have them here.
    1. If we do this, the multi-tier spells can be coded as one row with -br- tags, instead of multiple rows. This would cut down on width.
  3. Omit nihongo for unique abilities. If we're going to have articles for these anyway, there's no need to have nihongo here.
  4. Make the techniques sortable by disposition. Not sure if this can be made to work with the way this is coded, but it would make it easier to see which disposition has which techniques."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 19:53, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
By the way, what's up with "Ribbit Combo" and Populist's use of Thunder and Ribbit Tornado within Flick but not on the field?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 20:27, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

A few notes so far:
  • I agree with removing the nihongo for all attacks.
  • For merging the Flick Rush attacks, I'm not sure if that's possible, since some attacks are merged in Flick Rush. (For example: Ribbit Blade, Strike, and Spike -> Ribbit Combo)
  • I also think shortening the dispositions to one or two letters is too unclear.

TheSilentHero 20:27, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

I've created coding above that would account for Ribbit Combo -- I'm thinking of just using -br- instead of colspan for the flick percentages, though, to make it look cleaner.
I'm not sure I understand why abbreviating the dispositions is too unclear. In my gameplaying experience, the names of the dispositions were useless to me -- I determined what disposition I needed to have by eye color, and the relevant game mechanics (which candies to use, etc.) organized themselves by eye color. Honestly, I think we could get rid of the abbreviation entirely, if we didn't have to account for colorblindness or low-tech browsers."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." I didn't notice the colors before. It should be clear like this.
Should there be some note to explain the meaning of a check and percentage?
We should use something other than a check for the ultimate Flick Rush command (in this case, Thundaga). It looks like it us part of the regular attacks now. TheSilentHero 20:51, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
Couldn't remember the official term for the flick counter command, and not entirely sure whether I want words or just the star symbol there. Anyway, take a look at it now and give me your suggestions."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 21:02, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

Magic icon Thundaga Thunder 1 Evolved Command
I would remove the attacks that aren't used in FR. I know it is easier to compare, but it is really pointless to have attacks listed that can't be used in FR. Also, I think "Battle" would be a better tab title than "Commands". Also, the Ultimania has (進化) behind the Flick Rush-super-attack-thingy, maybe that can be used as a name or something... "Evolved Command" sounds a lot nicer, yeah."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 18:10, 19 September 2015 (UTC)

World Appearances[edit]

I am playing through the game again and I found Lord Kyroo in a battle portal in Country of the Musketeers with Riku. Country of the Musketeers isn't listed as a world that it can be found. This should be added. Musicfreekx (talk) 01:56, 25 January 2019 (UTC)
