Lion Sora using Dash
Dashing causes Sora's Lion Form to slide while turning.

Dash (ダッシュ Dasshu?) is a skill that appears in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts II. It allows the user to move at high speeds.

Mechanics[edit]

In Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, Dash is an enemy card effect that costs 65 CP to add to the deck and lasts for 15 cards. It increases the user's movement speed by 70%. While Dash is in effect, Sora is immune to lightning, but weak to special attacks.

In Kingdom Hearts II, Dash is an action ability that allows the user to move more quickly by holding Square. It is only usable by Lion Form. Attempting to turn while dashing will cause Sora to slide until he decides to stop turning or dashing, which will cause him to skid and bounce, slowing him down immediately.

The Gummi Ship in Kingdom Hearts II can use Dash on the World Map by pressing Circle (X in the Japanese releases) allowing it to quickly traverse the map.

Learning Dash[edit]

Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories[edit]

  • The Larxene enemy card has Dash as its effect.
  • The Black Fungus enemy card can randomly activate Dash.
  • The Darkside enemy card can mimic an enemy's Dash.

Kingdom Hearts II[edit]

Other appearances[edit]

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep[edit]

  • The Keyblade Gliders in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep can use a Dash (アクセル Akuseru?, lit. "Accelerate") ability on the World Map, similar to that of Kingdom Hearts II's Gummi Ship, by pressing X.
  • In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, No Heart's dark pillar technique can drastically increase the movement speed of the victim, similarily to the ability from Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories.
