maggosh The steel is forged... "Souls as far as the eye can see..."

"If you want light to rule over all, then you must rid the world of everything else."

This is an idea I had originally conceived for the Keyhole, but it hadn't really been discussed since then. What I have in mind is something like this, for Auron:

Allusions

  • The lines heard after Sora takes the Auron doll are lines Auron spoke to Braska and Jecht in Final Fantasy X, rerecorded for Kingdom Hearts II.
  • Auron turns into pyreflies as he returns to the Underworld, a phenomenon which occurs in Spira.
  • Upon activating the finishing move of his Limit, he says, "Your pain shall be twofold", his line in Final Fantasy X when using Armor Break.
  • Auron's constant taunt at Hades, "This is my story..." is an iconic line from Final Fantasy X, and is Tidus's first line in the game.
  • Auron's line, "Thanks for meddling," is spoken in a similar manner by Jecht, also from Final Fantasy X, in Dissidia Final Fantasy, when Firion tells him Tidus is his true opponent.
  • All of Auron's Limit commands are the names of his various Overdrives in Final Fantasy X, except for Spiral, which is based off of Tornado, his final Overdrive.

In short, a foil to FFWiki's Allusions section on their Dissidia character articles.

Do we have enough allusion content to fulfil a requirement for a section beyond Trivia? (I don't just mean for Auron, obviously there's quite a bit there. But is it substantial enough for other articles also?)

LightRoxas - "It was the sound of books... pages being turned. So, that's just what I was doing, just reading, uh... books. So not a moron."
TALK - "Apparently when you scream at a marshmallow, all you get is a scared marshmallow."
Yeah, and if it doesn't go to Trivia, couldn't we just expand our Origin sections as necessary to include these type of things?

I think that it sort of expected that the things a character says are similar or exact to what they say in their game/film of origin. We don't have this for Disney characters, but I suppose we could...

Personally, I would prefer the Origin section to only cover what the character's role was in their original film/game. An Allusions section would function as a state of liminality between Origin and Trivia.
