Just before you enter this world, a brief scene will show {{Wtext|Sora|c}} being concerned about entering this world, since they will drown if they enter it. {{Wtext|Donald|c}} then tells him that his magic can allow them to survive. {{Wtext|Sora|c}}, {{Wtext|Donald|c}} and {{Wtext|Goofy|c}} have now become adapt to undersea life as to {{Wtext|Donald|c}}'s magic. Once you land {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} and {{Wtext|Flounder|c}} will swim towards you from another area, with {{Wtext|Sebastian|c}} tagging along behind. Soon you'll be given a tutorial on how to swim, just follow {{Wtext|Flounder|c}} up and down, then finally {{Wtext|Sebastian|c}} will move along to self-defense but the Heartless arrive to attack. {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} leaves the area while {{Wtext|Sebastian|c}} and {{Wtext|Flounder|c}} hide inside the {{Wtext|clam|t}}. Attack the Heartless to proceed further. {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} will swim back once the Heartless are gone, then you must attack the {{Wtext|clam|t}} which will let out {{Wtext|Sebastian|c}} and {{Wtext|Flounder|c}}, and reveal a Save Point as well.

After the small cutscene, you'll be able to put {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} into your party. Head towards the area where the trident is pointing to which will lead you to the {{Wtext|Undersea Valley|l}}, head to the right to a {{Wtext|red clam|t}}, cast {{Wtext|Fire|w}} on it to open it and get a {{Wtext|Mythril Shard|i}}. Now as you'll have noticed {{Wtext|chests|t}} have now become {{Wtext|clams|t}}, <font color="red">red</font> for {{Wtext|Fire|w}}, <font color="blue">blue</font>  for {{Wtext|Blizzard|w}}, <font color="yellow">yellow</font> for {{Wtext|Thunder|w}}, and plain white ones which open just by hitting them. Now head to the right again into a small alcove where an {{Wtext|clam|t}} is, open it to get a {{Wtext|Mega-Ether|i}}. Head down from where the {{Wtext|red clam|t}} is and you'll find another {{Wtext|clam|t}}, hit it to get a {{Wtext|Mega-Potion|i}}.  Now go up and head north from where the {{Wtext|red clam|t}} is, there should be two {{Wtext|clams|t}}, one on a lower platform and the other on a higher platform. The higher one contains an {{Wtext|Elixir|i}}, the lower one contains a {{Wtext|Cottage|i}}. Now head down through the exit to the {{Wtext|Calm Depths|l}}. Now you'll be pushed off by a strong current, if you don't act in time you'll have to go all the way back from the other end of the {{Wtext|Undersea Valley|l}}, take the first right as you're sent across the current. Avoid the current flowing upwards and swim away from all Heartless, keep going ahead to the {{Wtext|Undersea Cave|l}}.  


Upon landing, you'll see that Sora now has a [[Merman Form|blue dolphin tail]], Donald now has [[Squid Form|octopus legs]] and {{Wtext|Goofy|c}} has become a [[Turtle Form|sea turtle]]. You'll then be introduce to {{Wtext|Ariel|c}}, {{Wtext|Flounder|c}} and {{Wtext|Sebastian|c}}, who will teach you how to swim. You mostly have to follow {{Wtext|Flounder|c}} around. Soon, a bunch of Heartless will appear, and your new friends will hide in a clam. After defeating the Heartless, attack the clam to let your friends out, revealing a save point (type 2). {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} will then join the party.

Head to the exit for {{Wtext|Triton's Palace|l}} but take a left and head to the {{Wtext|Undersea Garden|l}} and open the {{Wtext|clam|t}} there to get a {{Wtext|Mega-Potion|i}}, now head back to {{Wtext|Triton's Palace|l}}, defeat all Heartless and stay to the right side of the map, there's a {{Wtext|yellow clam|t}} here which contains a {{Wtext|Mythril Shard|i}}. Now head to {{Wtext|Triton's Throne|l}} straight ahead for a cutscene.  Three {{Wtext|Screwdiver|e}}s will be following the party, but {{Wtext|King Triton|c}} vaporizes them before they get too close. He refuses to tell the party about the Keyhole, and forbids {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} from leaving the palace. She swims off with the party following, {{Wtext|Triton|c}} then suggest he's probably being too strict and that he's just concerned of her safety. Then {{Wtext|Sebastian|c}} tells {{Wtext|King Triton|c}} that the Heartless are coming from {{Wtext|Ursula|c}}'s Grotto. Now you're back to playing the party, head back to {{Wtext|Triton's Throne|l}} and open the large {{Wtext|clam|t}} to reveal a save point, save and head to the {{Wtext|Undersea Gorge|l}} and {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} will as you to go to the far left bottom to {{Wtext|Ariel's Grotto|l}}.


Follow the trident marks on the wall to advance with the story. You'll also notice that the Heartless are very different than the ones encountered in other worlds, though the {{Wtext|Search Ghost|e}}s can also be found in Halloween Town. Once you reach the palace, three {{Wtext|Screwdiver|e}}s will follow the party, but {{Wtext|King Triton|c}} will vaporize them. He refuses to tell the party about the Keyhole, and will forbid {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} from leaving the palace. She swims off<!--I don't know if she leaves the party at this stage, but I know she does, soon-->. You can find her at her Groto.
Inside she'll show you all the things she and {{Wtext|Flouder|c}} have collected, you may also notice a trident-head shaped emblem on the base shelf, {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} suggests to go looking for the Keyhole, she doesn't care about what her father said even though {{Wtext|Sora|c}} reminds her. There are four {{Wtext|chests|t}} in this area, one is at the bottom near a clock containing a {{Wtext|Mega-Potion|i}}, another at the 2nd topmost shelf containing a {{Wtext|Torn Page|i}}, the 3rd is on the 4th shelf from the bottom containing a {{Wtext|Cottage|i}} and the last is on the bottom to the right of the first chest containing a {{Wtext|Ether|i}}. Now head back out as {{Wtext|Flotsam and Jetsam|c}} appear, in fact this leads up to the next cutscene where {{Wtext|Ursula|c}} is looking over the progress of {{Wtext|Sora|c}} and the party, she claims they will never find the Keyhole but that {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} would prove useful and that she's got the Heartless on her side to aid her. She then exclaims that {{Wtext|Triton|c}}'s day is coming. Now you'll be back in control of {{Wtext|Sora|c}}, head straight ahead to a {{Wtext|clam|t}} that contains a {{Wtext|Mega-Ether|i}}. Head to the {{Wtext|Undersea Valley|l}} and defeat all Heartless in the area, then look for the {{Wtext|Dolphin|c}} here and grab onto it and it'll take you over to the {{Wtext|Calm Depths|l}} then into the entrance of the {{Wtext|Sunken Ship|l}}.


In the Groto, the music will change, and you'll notice a trident head-shaped hole on the wall. Now you must follow the dolphin that swims around the area back to the Undersea Valley. Once you reach that area, grab onto it (make sure there are no Heartless around) and it will take you to the Sunken Ship. Inside of the ship, you'll find a treasure chest containing a {{Wtext|Crystal Trident|i}}. However, just before you open it, a shark will smash the ship, creating a hole big enough for the party to go through. He'll appear randomly at the Sunken Ship area, so be on your guard when you decided to travel the area. Now you must return to the Groto. The easiest way is to use a shortcut found near the ship, and use the rapid water sprout to push a treasure chest out of the way.
Here there are numerous {{Wtext|chests|t}} here, from the entrance go straight and then drop straight down to find a ship with a broken hull, enter inside to a {{Wtext|chest|t}} that contains an {{Wtext|Elixir|i}}, then get out and go up and into the ship, the {{Wtext|Shark|c}} will swim by. Now inside the ship there is a {{Wtext|chest|t}} straight ahead but forget it for now and go to the back of the ship, there's a chest to the left containing a {{Wtext|Mythril Shard|i}}, there is a hole underneath the stairs that leads to a {{Wtext|clam|t}} containing a {{Wtext|Mythril|i}}, now head back to the {{Wtext|chest|t}} that we left and open it to get the {{Wtext|Crystal Trident|i}}, however the {{Wtext|Shark|e}} will appear as you approach the {{Wtext|chest|t}}. Now head back outside, you can fight the {{Wtext|Shark|e}} for 100XP. There'll be an exit lower down from the main one, but go to the right of it to get a {{Wtext|chest|t}} containing a {{Wtext|Mythril Shard|i}}, now head through the exit to the {{Wtext|Undersea Gorge|l}}. There's an inactive crater ahead of you, hit it to cause a stronger current, head through it upwards to pop out the large {{Wtext|Treasure Chest|t}}, open it to get an {{Wtext|Orichalcum|i}} then head to {{Wtext|Ariel's Grotto|l}} to the right and swim up to the trident-head shaped emblem for a cutscene.


During the cutscene, {{Wtext|King Triton|c}} will show up and destroy the {{Wtext|Crystal Trident|i}}, causing {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} to swim off crying. He'll also exile the party out of his world. However, the save point at the '''Tranquil Grotto''' will not allow you to leave. Meanwhile, {{Wtext|Ursula|c}} is trying to trick {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} into helping her take King Triton's trident. Once you reach the palace, you'll notice that {{Wtext|King Triton|c}} is wounded, and that Ursula has made off with his trident. {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} is determined to get it back, and will then rejoin the party.
During the cutscene, {{Wtext|Sora|c}} places the {{Wtext|Crystal Trident|i}} into the emblem, however before anything happens {{Wtext|King Triton|c}} show ups and destroys the {{Wtext|Crystal Trident|i}}, causing {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} to swim off crying. He also exiles the party from the World however {{Wtext|Sora|c}} and his party decide to stay regardless of {{Wtext|Triton|c}}'s ruling. Meanwhile, {{Wtext|Ursula|c}} tricks {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} into helping her take {{Wtext|King Triton|c}}'s {{Wtext|Trident|i}}. Once you're back in control, head out of {{Wtext|Ariel's Grotto|l}} and once you reach the exit to {{Wtext|Triton's Palace|l}} a cutscene will play showing {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} escorting {{Wtext|Ursula|c}} to {{Wtext|Triton's Throne|c}} to get the {{Wtext|Trident|i}}. Swim all the way to {{Wtext|Triton's Palace|l}} and in a cutscene {{Wtext|Triton|c}} is shown weak and helpless on his Throne while {{Wtext|Ursula|c}} basks in the glory of the {{Wtext|Trident|i}}, {{Wtext|Flotsam and Jetsam|c}} note to {{Wtext|Ursula|c}} that the Keyhole is not in the Palace and her exclaiming in shock, however {{Wtext|Sora|c}} and his party make it back to the Palace but {{Wtext|Ursula|c}} makes off with the {{Wtext|Trident|i}}. {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} rejoins the party determined to defeat {{Wtext|Ursula|c}} and get the {{Wtext|Trident|i}} back with {{Wtext|Sebastian|c}} tagging along, before you go, {{Wtext|Triton|c}} gives a small hint on how to defeat {{Wtext|Ursula|b}} by casting magic against her cauldron. Save and head to he {{Wtext|Sunken Ship|l}} map, defeat the {{Wtext|Shark|b}} to allow {{Wtext|Sebastian|c}} passage to the button close to the door with the strange glyph on it.


Head back to the Sunken Ship, and you must now fight the shark.

In this area go straight but then take the right path to get to the {{Wtext|Cavern Nook|l}} which has two {{Wtext|clams|t}}, open the smaller one to get a {{Wtext|Mega-Ether|i}} and the bigger one for a Save Point. Now return to the fork in the previous area and take the path to the right, go straight ahead to the {{Wtext|Tidal Abyss|l}} then go ahead, defeating the Heartless along the way, to {{Wtext|Ursula's Lair|l}}.

You'll then learn Mermaid Kick, which is needed to reach {{Wtext|Ursula|b}} for the second battle with her. But for now stay inside her lair and look around, there's a sea urchin hiding underneath the ground and a large {{Wtext|clam|t}} is hanging from the wall however is shut tight. Leave the area and enter again to make it appear close to the {{Wtext|clam|t}}, keep attacking it to make it blow up opening the {{Wtext|clam|t}} dropping a {{Wtext|chest|t}}, open it to get a {{Wtext|Mythril|i}}. Now head back to the {{Wtext|Calm Depths|l}}, and take the exit straight head to {{Wtext|???|l}} if you're coming from the {{Wtext|Sunken Ship|l}} area.

|strategy=This fight requires a lot of handiwork, you must absolutely cast {{Wtext|Aero|w}} at the start of the battle and go crazy on her face. She's got light attacks that pierce heavily on your health to heal frequently as well. Another attack is where she will blow bubbles your way, these do not do much damage, and can be easily negated with {{Wtext|Aero|w}}. When she attempts to suck you in you must counteract and use {{Wtext|Mermaid Kick|w}} to get away from her, if she sucks you in she will bite you, however again, {{Wtext|Aero|w}} will negate the damage. Once you get through most of her HP she will use her most powerful attack where she raises the {{Wtext|Trident|i}} to call unto several beams of light to jolt you at once, this will take a large amount of health, even with {{Wtext|Aero|w}}. Use {{Wtext|Cure|w}} as soon as possible to avoid impending knock out. The best place to attack her is from the back at the base of her neck, as she will keep attempting to turn around, she will push you along and automatically keeping you away from the beams of light.}}

Just before you enter this world, a brief scene will show Sora being concerned about entering this world, since they will drown if they enter it. Donald then tells him that his magic can allow them to survive. Sora, Donald and Goofy have now become adapt to undersea life as to Donald's magic. Once you land Ariel and Flounder will swim towards you from another area, with Sebastian tagging along behind. Soon you'll be given a tutorial on how to swim, just follow Flounder up and down, then finally Sebastian will move along to self-defense but the Heartless arrive to attack. Ariel leaves the area while Sebastian and Flounder hide inside the clam. Attack the Heartless to proceed further. Ariel will swim back once the Heartless are gone, then you must attack the clam which will let out Sebastian and Flounder, and reveal a Save Point as well.

After the small cutscene, you'll be able to put Ariel into your party. Head towards the area where the trident is pointing to which will lead you to the Undersea Valley, head to the right to a red clam, cast Fire on it to open it and get a Mythril Shard. Now as you'll have noticed chests have now become clams, red for Fire, blue for Blizzard, yellow for Thunder, and plain white ones which open just by hitting them. Now head to the right again into a small alcove where an clam is, open it to get a Mega-Ether. Head down from where the red clam is and you'll find another clam, hit it to get a Mega-Potion. Now go up and head north from where the red clam is, there should be two clams, one on a lower platform and the other on a higher platform. The higher one contains an Elixir, the lower one contains a Cottage. Now head down through the exit to the Calm Depths. Now you'll be pushed off by a strong current, if you don't act in time you'll have to go all the way back from the other end of the Undersea Valley, take the first right as you're sent across the current. Avoid the current flowing upwards and swim away from all Heartless, keep going ahead to the Undersea Cave.

In this map there is an clam inside a small alcove which contains a Cottage, keep going up to the Undersea Gorge. As soon as you get in, head to the left and go as low as possible to get to a Mythril Shard from a blue clam. Head to the exit for Triton's Palace but take a left and head to the Undersea Garden and open the clam there to get a Mega-Potion, now head back to Triton's Palace, defeat all Heartless and stay to the right side of the map, there's a yellow clam here which contains a Mythril Shard. Now head to Triton's Throne straight ahead for a cutscene. Three Screwdivers will be following the party, but King Triton vaporizes them before they get too close. He refuses to tell the party about the Keyhole, and forbids Ariel from leaving the palace. She swims off with the party following, Triton then suggest he's probably being too strict and that he's just concerned of her safety. Then Sebastian tells King Triton that the Heartless are coming from Ursula's Grotto. Now you're back to playing the party, head back to Triton's Throne and open the large clam to reveal a save point, save and head to the Undersea Gorge and Ariel will as you to go to the far left bottom to Ariel's Grotto.

Inside she'll show you all the things she and Flouder have collected, you may also notice a trident-head shaped emblem on the base shelf, Ariel suggests to go looking for the Keyhole, she doesn't care about what her father said even though Sora reminds her. There are four chests in this area, one is at the bottom near a clock containing a Mega-Potion, another at the 2nd topmost shelf containing a Torn Page, the 3rd is on the 4th shelf from the bottom containing a Cottage and the last is on the bottom to the right of the first chest containing a Ether. Now head back out as Flotsam and Jetsam appear, in fact this leads up to the next cutscene where Ursula is looking over the progress of Sora and the party, she claims they will never find the Keyhole but that Ariel would prove useful and that she's got the Heartless on her side to aid her. She then exclaims that Triton's day is coming. Now you'll be back in control of Sora, head straight ahead to a clam that contains a Mega-Ether. Head to the Undersea Valley and defeat all Heartless in the area, then look for the Dolphin here and grab onto it and it'll take you over to the Calm Depths then into the entrance of the Sunken Ship.

Here there are numerous chests here, from the entrance go straight and then drop straight down to find a ship with a broken hull, enter inside to a chest that contains an Elixir, then get out and go up and into the ship, the Shark will swim by. Now inside the ship there is a chest straight ahead but forget it for now and go to the back of the ship, there's a chest to the left containing a Mythril Shard, there is a hole underneath the stairs that leads to a clam containing a Mythril, now head back to the chest that we left and open it to get the Crystal Trident, however the Shark will appear as you approach the chest. Now head back outside, you can fight the Shark for 100XP. There'll be an exit lower down from the main one, but go to the right of it to get a chest containing a Mythril Shard, now head through the exit to the Undersea Gorge. There's an inactive crater ahead of you, hit it to cause a stronger current, head through it upwards to pop out the large Treasure Chest, open it to get an Orichalcum then head to Ariel's Grotto to the right and swim up to the trident-head shaped emblem for a cutscene.

During the cutscene, Sora places the Crystal Trident into the emblem, however before anything happens King Triton show ups and destroys the Crystal Trident, causing Ariel to swim off crying. He also exiles the party from the World however Sora and his party decide to stay regardless of Triton's ruling. Meanwhile, Ursula tricks Ariel into helping her take King Triton's Trident. Once you're back in control, head out of Ariel's Grotto and once you reach the exit to Triton's Palace a cutscene will play showing Ariel escorting Ursula to Triton's Throne to get the Trident. Swim all the way to Triton's Palace and in a cutscene Triton is shown weak and helpless on his Throne while Ursula basks in the glory of the Trident, Flotsam and Jetsam note to Ursula that the Keyhole is not in the Palace and her exclaiming in shock, however Sora and his party make it back to the Palace but Ursula makes off with the Trident. Ariel rejoins the party determined to defeat Ursula and get the Trident back with Sebastian tagging along, before you go, Triton gives a small hint on how to defeat Ursula by casting magic against her cauldron. Save and head to he Sunken Ship map, defeat the Shark to allow Sebastian passage to the button close to the door with the strange glyph on it.

Cast Aero and keep casting Fire at it. Once you run out of MP keep attacking it with the Keyblade. It's only attacks are a bite and a damaging shove, however both attacks can be slightly negated by the Aero shield. Use Potions to heal.


After its defeat, examine the button to open a new passage to the Den of Tides. In this area go straight but then take the right path to get to the Cavern Nook which has two clams, open the smaller one to get a Mega-Ether and the bigger one for a Save Point. Now return to the fork in the previous area and take the path to the right, go straight ahead to the Tidal Abyss then go ahead, defeating the Heartless along the way, to Ursula's Lair.

For this fight you'll need lots of Ethers or you can keep attacking Flotsam and Jetsam for extra MP. Use Fire on her cauldron when it's red and Blizzard when it's blue. When done right she will be stunned momentarily allowing you to land a few combos on her. Once she's gained consciousness she'll twist about her tentacles causing massive damage. Cast Aero for any needed help against her attacks. Use Potions to heal.

After defeating her Flotsam and Jetsam dissipate and she will disappear into what appears to be a portal. You'll then learn Mermaid Kick, which is needed to reach Ursula for the second battle with her. But for now stay inside her lair and look around, there's a sea urchin hiding underneath the ground and a large clam is hanging from the wall however is shut tight. Leave the area and enter again to make it appear close to the clam, keep attacking it to make it blow up opening the clam dropping a chest, open it to get a Mythril. Now head back to the Calm Depths, and take the exit straight head to ??? if you're coming from the Sunken Ship area.

This fight requires a lot of handiwork, you must absolutely cast Aero at the start of the battle and go crazy on her face. She's got light attacks that pierce heavily on your health to heal frequently as well. Another attack is where she will blow bubbles your way, these do not do much damage, and can be easily negated with Aero. When she attempts to suck you in you must counteract and use Mermaid Kick to get away from her, if she sucks you in she will bite you, however again, Aero will negate the damage. Once you get through most of her HP she will use her most powerful attack where she raises the Trident to call unto several beams of light to jolt you at once, this will take a large amount of health, even with Aero. Use Cure as soon as possible to avoid impending knock out. The best place to attack her is from the back at the base of her neck, as she will keep attempting to turn around, she will push you along and automatically keeping you away from the beams of light.


After defeating Ursula the Trident will be out of her grasp and you'll return to the palace, where King Triton will tell you that the world's Keyhole is in Ariel's Grotto. Head to the Grotto, and in he cutscene, Ariel will use the trident to reveal the Keyhole with Sora locking it, ending Atlantica's story. Ariel will give you the world's Keyblade, the Crabclaw from her collection of do-dads and thinga-ma-bobs.

If you want to get a 100% completion, you will need to return to Atlantica to use the White Trinity, which can be found in Triton's Palace.
