I agree with 17m. Re:coded is a good addition to the series. The graphics and leveling system have improved from Days (the Stat Matrix doesn't feel like a puzzle), and it's fun to see the journal's secrets revealed piece by piece. Like everyone said, it seems to be a major improvement from Days and it doesn't seem like all of the unique elements weren't put in without regard to the previous like in the origninal Coded. And I love the Stat Matrix (only now I have to give up some chips for trophy chips, and I have already replaced all of my Blank Chips) and I relished in the return of the Deck Commands, although the System Memory thing sure was irritating (I can't even use all eight of my slots). The Avatar Menu is cool, but I share the same qualms about the inconviencies it holds, like the fact that most of the easy trophies can't be obtained unless you run into one of the two other people in your town who like Kingdom Hearts, let alone are playing the game at the same time in an even shorter distance than the PSP. But I like the more usful feature of the bottom screen (I did like Days idea of watching two cutscenes at once though) and Ultima Weapon is B.A., all I really can complain about is the confined nature of Kingdom Hearts's promising new realm of multi-player.}} | |||

CoM has the random rooms, Days it's freaking 93 missions and Re:coded the system areas with are fun at first but get stale after you going through the 13 floors in Hollow Bastion again and again, just to level up or to get the last rewards. | |||
Storywise I'd liked Re:coded much better than Days. Firstly because the story isn't just retold more simplier than it was in KH1 (like it was done in CoM) even if the outcome is still the same, secondly because it's crisp and clear (Days is just so boooooriiiiiiing until Day 300 or so) and thirdly because it doesn't introduce new useless characters that takes away screen time from already existinging but not yet fully fleshed out characters. | |||
Gameplaywise Re:coded is really neat, although I liked the Command Meld in BBS better too (it's more logical) and some commands could be more unique than just fire/blizzard/thunder/aero variations. | |||
Don't get me started on Avatar Menu though (we still have to write a good article on that matter), because it really takes a long, long time to make progress in here without a Wii or another NDS around. But I guess I should be glad, that's possible to get all the content of the game nonetheless. | |||

I like that fact that Square Enix decided to incorporated different styles of gameplay (side-scroller, shooter, turn base). The only problem I had was the camera angle and how it never stay in place or was out of place and the "continue" screen, how after you die at a boss, instead of them taking back to the part you die, it takes you back all the way to the beginning of the battle. I thought 358/2 days was a little dry of story, which could of been a result because of the lack of emotion Nobodies are supposed to have I also think it's because the gear system. Then I also have a big disliking towards RE: Coded because as stated. The story is sooooo dry because it's all just one big repeat AGAIN! I mean, I played both CoM and RE: CoM and didn't mind it but coming out with an entirely new game that for the better half of the story is the same as CoM is greatly annoying. Even the "unique" gameplay styles were a bit annoying instead of fun. If the side-scrolling portions had let you move the screen instead of the screen making you have to move it probably would of been better in that one section. The debugging levels were neat except that the more you played em the more you could realise that there wasn't much difference between many maps. So it was all just one big repeat. The boss fights weren't that fun or challenging EXCEPT for the Sora's Heartless and Roxas fights. But even those were kind of easy if you figured it out. At;east 358/2 was a challenge. And the gridwas just more nuisance... I like the ability to change the drop rate in exchange for HP but at the same time in OTHER KH games you can just get extra luck abilities to help that. Also there is a certain percent you can't go over in CPU usage which is kind of like the CP limit from CoM which was a nuisance in itself but this is even more annoying. I say that it has 0 replay value unless you've neither played KH 1 or CoM/RE:CoM. Story was dry except for the REAL cutscenes and also the last bits inside Data Riku and Castle Oblivion. It was actually pretty neat seeing a 3D CO on the DS instead of the 2D one from gameboy CoM.}} | |||
I WOULD have liked it...IF I COULD HAVE CHANGED THE CAMERA CONFIGURATION LIKE I DID IN 358/2!!!! My "L" button broke, so I thought "Okay, I'll just change it." NOPE! IT WAS LIKE A SLAP IN THE FACE! I had to play through the whole game, WITHOUT LOCK-ON (which is VITAL to most of my strategies) AND I am sooooooooooo tired of all the recycled music and worlds (although C.O. WAS pretty cool). The only things I like about it are the Avatar menu, the secret ending, the cutscenes and the intro (I love the data-ness in the beginning and Axel ^_^). So, yeah, I have to say, over all, worst KH game except for CoM (Re:CoM=better). And that's my 2 cents on that issue.--[[User:LexaIIIV|LexaIIIV]] 13:13, 11 May 2011 (EDT) | |||

I'm thinking I'll probably rent Re:coded and decide afterwards whether I want it. I'm also pretty annoyed with the recycling, but I figure I can just mute it and hum all the background music myself. That'll make it easier to tolerate. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 06:55, January 18, 2011 (UTC)

I WOULD have liked it...IF I COULD HAVE CHANGED THE CAMERA CONFIGURATION LIKE I DID IN 358/2!!!! My "L" button broke, so I thought "Okay, I'll just change it." NOPE! IT WAS LIKE A SLAP IN THE FACE! I had to play through the whole game, WITHOUT LOCK-ON (which is VITAL to most of my strategies) AND I am sooooooooooo tired of all the recycled music and worlds (although C.O. WAS pretty cool).
