The Minute Bomb is an Emblem Heartless that is introduced in Kingdom Hearts II.

Though cute, Minute Bombs are noteable for being one of the two kinds of Heartless that directly invade Disney Castle, the other being the Bolt Towers. With the Bolt Towers, they directly landed inside the castle grounds and began to cause devastation and destruction. Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Minnie battled the Minute Bombs in the gardens and main hall of the castle.  Though there were millions of them, the group survived the onrush and accessed the Council Chamber.
Design
A Minute Bomb has a thin, armless body with short, thin legs without feet. Its head is spherical and is blue, the same color as its body. Its head is covered by two halves of a dark brown shell resembling a stereotypical bomb. A large, jagged opening around the middle of the shell exposes the Heartless's glowing, yellow eyes. The top half of the bombshell sports a long, white fuse. Its Heartless emblem is present on the front of the top half of the shell.

Minute Bombs were also present when Sora, Donald, and Goofy entered the Timeless River.  However, they were much less of a threat there.  After the enemies found in the Timeless River changed, Minute Bombs could still be found in the Underworld.
In Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, the Minute Bomb's body is black, its shell is white, and its fuse is red.

stub
The Minute Bomb's name obviously refers to its explosive attack method and resemblance to stereotypical bombs. "Minute" could refer to its rather small size, or to the time measurement "minute", which could refer to its fuse, though the Heartless itself detonates far faster than one minute.

Although these Heartless are easily ignored, they have only one attack besides their self-destruction. They will send themselves into a straight line headbutt. Use Guard to block the attack; this will break their skull cap, rendering them unable to use their self-destruction. This will make them "lose [their] will to fight" and they will stand still for the rest of the battle, never attacking again. If the headbutt is not blocked, it only deals minor damage.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Minute Bombs have a countdown timer of 3 instead of 9 and will start to detonate if their headbutts are guarded. Also, if Roxas uses fire attacks or magic, it will immediately explode. If the Minute Bomb uses its self-destruct, it will be still and can be moved by hitting it. If the Minute Bomb is frozen or air-tossed while the countdown is going, the countdown stops. Its self-destruction also deals damage to other Heartless as well.

The Minute Bomb is an Emblem Heartless that is introduced in Kingdom Hearts II.

Design[edit]

A Minute Bomb has a thin, armless body with short, thin legs without feet. Its head is spherical and is blue, the same color as its body. Its head is covered by two halves of a dark brown shell resembling a stereotypical bomb. A large, jagged opening around the middle of the shell exposes the Heartless's glowing, yellow eyes. The top half of the bombshell sports a long, white fuse. Its Heartless emblem is present on the front of the top half of the shell.

In Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, the Minute Bomb's body is black, its shell is white, and its fuse is red.

The Minute Bomb's name obviously refers to its explosive attack method and resemblance to stereotypical bombs. "Minute" could refer to its rather small size, or to the time measurement "minute", which could refer to its fuse, though the Heartless itself detonates far faster than one minute.

Strategy[edit]

Kingdom Hearts II[edit]

Although these Heartless are easily ignored, they have only one attack besides their self-destruction. They will send themselves into a straight line headbutt. Use Guard to block the attack; this will break their skull cap, rendering them unable to use their self-destruction. This will make them "lose [their] will to fight" and they will stand still for the rest of the battle, never attacking again. If the headbutt is not blocked, it only deals minor damage.

If Sora attacks the Minute Bomb, it will use begin its Self-Destruct attack. When it does this, wait for the Reaction Command "Dodge Roll" that appears with 3-2 seconds remaining in order to properly defeat the Minute Bomb. If the Minute Bomb self-destructs without the use of Dodge Roll, it will not count as being defeated, as it will reward no prizes or experience and will reappear if the player returns to its initial location.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days[edit]

In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Minute Bombs have a countdown timer of 3 instead of 9 and will start to detonate if their headbutts are guarded. Also, if Roxas uses fire attacks or magic, it will immediately explode. If the Minute Bomb uses its self-destruct, it will be still and can be moved by hitting it. If the Minute Bomb is frozen or air-tossed while the countdown is going, the countdown stops. Its self-destruction also deals damage to other Heartless as well.
