Belonging to a set that also includes a [[EXP Ring|ring]], [[EXP Bracelet|bracelet]], and [[EXP Earring|earring]], it gives a 30% bonus to all [[Experience]] points gained during the game and a small bonus to [[Magic|MP]]. Unlike the EXP Bracelet, which provides a similar bonus, the EXP Necklace can not be [[Item Synthesis|synthesized]].  In a regular or Proud Mode game, it can only be granted by defeating [[Xemnas|Unknown]] at [[Hollow Bastion]].  If the Beginner Mode difficulty is chosen instead, this item is one of many automatically added to [[Sora|Sora's]] inventory at the start of the game.
