Help:User page

Your user page is a space you can edit and show others who you are, your likes and dislikes, and so forth. Every registered user has a user page, and there is a lot of liberty on what one can place on it. This guide will help you understand and hopefully inspire you on what you can add to your user page, as well as warn about what cannot be placed on there. Note that not all the ideas on this page have to be there.

Limits on user page content

Diversity is important on the Kingdom Hearts Wiki, and we like viewing other people's diverse opinions and styles on their user pages, which truly are personal profiles for each user. However, there are limits to what is allowed on a user page.

• As of April 2009, and in accordance with the current media policy, non-Kingdom Hearts-official images cannot be hosted on-site, even for user pages. They can definitely be used in your user page, but these must be hosted elsewhere, like Imgur, and linked back here.
• User pages cannot be used to house a personal website, journal, or blog. Consider for blog-related entries, or a different site where you can do that. Fanfiction is also not allowed on-site; consider using the Kingdom Hearts Fanon Wiki to write and host your fanon.
• User pages cannot be used to have prohibited content, such as content that violates copyright laws, is pornographic, includes excessive advertising, promotes illegal activities, or is hate speech or incites such hate.

On the right, you see a personal infobox. It is a quick and easy way for you to display the most essential information about yourself to other users. Feel free to add different colors, other types of information, and whatever you'd like. It functions just like a table, simply off-center. As you become more familiar with wiki markup, you may choose to make it more complicated, such as adding background colors, borders, and more.

If you want to give a more detailed description of what Kingdom Hearts games, characters, music, etc. you like the best, you may use the following tables to do so.

To save time while making the numbered list, insert this sign (#) at the beginning of each line.

If you would rather a bulleted list, here's how to do it - suppose the title of your list is "Favorites" :

To make a bulleted list, all you have to do is insert an asterisk (*) at the beginning of each line.

Talk bubbles

Talk bubbles are a means of communicating, and are popular for their various forms of customization. Many people like to display all the different talk bubbles they've had during their time on the Kingdom Hearts Wiki in a sort of "display section" on their user page. If you have any questions about how to create one, you can view this template or relevant guides in the Moogle Workshop of our community portal. If you're fresh out of ideas on making a talkbox (or, if you want some tips on tweaking it even further), you can look through this Talk Template Archive.

After making the template like you want, save it in a page with the name Template:(Insert template name here).

Once that's done, just type in this code:

The Kingdom Hearts Wiki lets you embed videos from YouTube on your user page. Simply use this code:

Posting notices

If you need to place a notice on your user page to inform others of something - say, your absence, a celebration or whatever it may be, you can try the following code:

Be sure to place this code on the top of your user page if you wish to notify other users of anything.

Userboxes

Userboxes are colored boxes, communicative notices that let you tell others about you, your browser settings, and your in-game preferences and achievements. To find out how to make a userbox section on your user page, and to see a list of userboxes available, check out KHWiki:Userboxes.
