Rune Tech is a material type in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It supplies magical energy when synthesizing items.
Design[edit]
Rune Tech are colored purple. A Rune Tech is represented by a long, thin jewel with a pointed tip and a wide base, sprouting five small appendages. A Rune Tech+ is similar to a Rune Tech, but the base sprouts seven longer appendages. A Rune Tech++ is similar to a Rune Tech+, with the upper appendages taking the shape of wings.
The material's name refers to magical runes, which reflect the material's use in synthesizing weapon panels focusing on Magic.
