Before starting the game, players can choose between two difficulties: GAME A and GAME B. The game has five buttons. The "CONTROLLER" buttons move Sora, and the "ACTION" button allows Sora to turn pipes, or move crates.
The objective of this mini-game is to defeat as many baddies as you can. The baddies approach through four paths. Sora covers the two left paths, and Mickey covers the two right paths. Sora and Mickey both have "LEFT" and "RIGHT" buttons, which allow them to hit to the left or right.

Eggs slowly fall through the pipes, and need to be placed in the baskets at the bottom. In GAME A, three baskets are available, but in GAME B, only two baskets are available. Baskets can be swapped by pressing the "ACTION" button when Sora stands between two baskets, or between a basket and an empty space. Players can use the "ACTION" button near the pipes to turn the black-outlined piece. The baskets can be handed to Mickey or Minnie by pressing the "ACTION" button when Sora stands between a basket and either Mickey or Minnie. Handing the baskets removes the eggs and increases the score based on the number of eggs in the basket. After a certain number of eggs have been given to Mickey or Minnie, the stage is completed and the next stage starts.
Hitting a baddie at the right time gives a PERFECT score, which increases the COMBO count. Hitting a baddie a little too early or too late gives a GOOD score, which defeats the baddie, but resets the COMBO count. Not hitting a baddie on time gives a MISS score, which reduces Sora's life by 1, and resets the COMBO count.

Sora will lose a life if one of the eggs break. Eggs break if they hit the closed side of a pipe, fall on the ground, or fall into a basket which already contains 6 eggs.
Baddies approach in a certain rhythm, with different types of baddies moving in different ways. Baddies with white helmets move in a straight line. Baddies with black helmets approach in pairs; one on Sora's side, and one on Mickey's side. Baddies without helmets can jump between paths.

The score increases by 10 for each GOOD score, and by 15 for each PERFECT score. When the COMBO count reaches 10, it grants a score multiplier to all PERFECT scores. The multiplier increases for each 10 COMBO counts.

The Barnyard Battle KHUX.png

The Barnyard Battle is a Classic Kingdom mini-game in Kingdom Hearts Union χ and Kingdom Hearts III. In this game, Sora and Mickey need to work together to defeat all baddies.

Game Help[edit]

Stop the baddies coming your way!

Press Left and Right to make Sora strike the two columns on the left. Press Square and Circle to make Mickey strike the two columns on the right.

Find a rhythm and time your attacks just right! You want to hit the baddies just as they move next to Sora and Mickey.

Mechanics[edit]

The objective of this mini-game is to defeat as many baddies as you can. The baddies approach through four paths. Sora covers the two left paths, and Mickey covers the two right paths. Sora and Mickey both have "LEFT" and "RIGHT" buttons, which allow them to hit to the left or right.

COMBO Multiplier Score
0 - 9 x1.0 15
10 - 19 x1.1 17
20 - 29 x1.2 18

40 - 49 x1.5 23
50 - 59 x1.7 26
