Blitz is a technique introduced in Kingdom Hearts. It allows the user to execute one or more overhead jumping attacks with the Keyblade, dealing physical damage.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts, Blitz is a combat ability. It is a ground combo finisher that allows Sora to perform a single jumping attack with the Keyblade. It costs 3 AP to equip, 2 AP in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. After hitting the target, Sora takes 26 frames to recover (0.9 seconds).[1]

In Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, Blitz is an attack sleight. After the initial attack, up to two additional attacks are added by pressing Triangle when prompted in Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories.

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Blitz is a Basic attack command that takes up one slot, has a maximum level of 4, has a normal reload time of 15 seconds, and fills the Command Gauge by 15%. After the initial attack, up to two additional attacks are added by pressing Triangle when prompted. It has a Command Shop value of 1200.

In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Blitz is an attack command that can be used by Sora. It takes up one slot in the Command Deck and has a reload time of 22 seconds. It grants +3 to Strength when attached to a Dream Eater recipe.

In Kingdom Hearts Union χ, Blitz is a special attack that targets a single enemy. It costs 1 special attack gauge to perform. It inflicts damage in exchange for defense.

Sora's default ground combo finisher against a single target resembles Blitz, only he turns in a clockwise motion as opposed to counter-clockwise, and he does a full turn, as well.

Kingdom Hearts III

In Kingdom Hearts III, Sora's default ground combo finisher is a Blitz-like attack.
  • Sora's basic ground combo finisher resembles Blitz, similar to his single target ground combo finisher in Kingdom Hearts II.
  • When Kairi uses the situation command "Seven Wishes", her attack command changes to Blitz.

Final Fantasy Record Keeper

In Final Fantasy Record Keeper, Sora uses Blitz as a follow-up ability after every third spellblade ability used while under the effect of the Master Hearts Soul Break.
