Lightning (とどろく Todoroku , lit. "Thundering"), also translated in Kingdom Hearts as "Thunder", is a material type available in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II. It is associated with Thunder, and is colored yellow.

- Thunder Shard: Yellow Opera (8%), White Mushroom (100%)[1]
- Thunder Gem: Aquatank (8%), Screwdiver (4%), White Mushroom (10%/100%)[2]
Kingdom Hearts Final Mix introduced the Lightning Stone, dropped only by the Black Ballade.

- Lightning Shard[3]: Bolt Tower (10%), Rapid Thruster (4%)
- Lightning Stone[4]: Driller Mole (6%), Emerald Blues (10%)
