Chain Rave (チェーンレイヴ Chēn Reivu?) is a technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. It allows the user to swing the Keyblade by the chain while charging, deflecting enemy attacks.

Development

The concept of spinning the Keyblade by the chain to attack was originally planned for Kingdom Hearts, with concept art showing Sora and Riku doing so. It was not until Kingdom Hearts Re:coded that this take life as the Chain Rave ability.[citation needed]

  • Data-Sora can obtain Chain Rave as the A reward for defeating Dragon Maleficent on Beginner Mode.
  • Data-Sora can obtain Chain Rave as the B reward for defeating Dragon Maleficent on Standard Mode.
  • Data-Sora can create Chain Rave through Command Conversion.
  • Data-Sora can purchase Chain Rave from the Shop for 11000 munny once the player has cleared Hollow Bastion.
