I've heard a lot of debate over whether they're Cherry-Blossom petals or if they're Pink Hawthorn petals.
Here are the arguments I've heard:
Cherry-blossoms are a Japanese symbol of death, and Mar's title is the Graceful assassin.
Pink hawthorn, because of the shape of the petals as seen in KH RE: CoM. Furthermore, the Scientific name for the specific plant is Crataegus Lumaria, Lumaria also being the "Reverse-Anangrammed" version of the name "Marluxia"
So, Which is it? Cherry-Blossom or Pink Hawthorn?97.90.18.64 03:06, October 6, 2010 (UTC)Empty-Sentiment

I'm concerned about calling the angelic Nobody or machine or whatever that Marluxia is combined with for his final battle an "Angel of Death". It seems very romanticized and interpretive. Is this how it's actually officially described and I just haven't seen it? Scottch 04:42, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

Actually, Marluxia of all of them shows the greatest indication of being straight - especially when you take into consideration Axel's comments about him in the manga, after Larxene dies: ("What are you going to do with all your time, now that Larxene is gone?"), not to mention his general attitude towards her. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that they're an item, and I wouldn't put it past Squeenix and Nomura to make the most "obviously" gay character straight. I disagree I respect any guy that has pink hair and can still kick ass. He takes 'tough guys wear pink' to a whole new level.--To lose and claim anew or claim anew only to lose 06:46, January 10, 2011 (UTC) theGracefulAssassin
Either way, you guys should be careful, you could offend gay people on this wiki. Surely there's a gay person on this wiki somewhere

I have lots of infomation with many serieses, and did you know that Marluxia's English voice actor (for Re:COM and Days) also voiced Basch in Final Fantasy XII? (It looks like the Roselia-like fem-boy's voice actor also voiced a Lucario-like power-man!) It's very weard in many, many different ways, y'know! (Also, another conection with voice acting is that both the English and Japanese voice actors of Captain Jack Sparrow have voiced Final Fantasy characters; The English one voiced Tidus (in Final Fantasy X), while the Japanese one voiced Balthier (in Final Fantasy XII). Also, Vivi's Japanese voice actress voiced Satoshi's Pikachu in the Pokémon series)! the real names of Organization XIII please tell me if you think these are right because i know that 12/13 of these names are wrong
What freaks me out most is that Marluxia's voice actor also voiced Bloo in the cartoon network series "Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends" ~Xena

Pronunciation
I think at least in instances like this where the romanji doesn't reflect the proper english pronuciation (marusha excludes the l sound) we should put it somewhere. --Evnyofdeath 18:17, October 19, 2010 (UTC)

Agreed. Personally I think a pronunciation should follow the Romanji in the character info and/or in the first paragraph along with the romanji. 18:21, October 19, 2010 (UTC)

:Maa-ruu-shaa equates to Mar-loo-sha. maggosh 18:49, October 19, 2010 (UTC)

I know, but I was wanting some English pronunciations for new-comers. But, if it's unnecessary then never mind. 18:52, October 19, 2010 (UTC)

Cherry Blossoms?
The petals are RED, he's even seen holding a rose in the official manga! Yes the explanation for the Sakura are logical, but think about it, when everyone's all elegant and crap in anime and most japanese things or anything else for that matter, there's roses. Look fangirls, I know you want to Japanify the living hell out of this English wiki, but they're rose petals.-.-
:...they are VERY pink. 23:54, January 13, 2011 (UTC)

They are severely pink. And don't you "fangirl" us, anon. We don't shit around with this stuff. If you want there to be a change, give us a source. One other than "He's holding a rose in the manga." -- 00:14, January 14, 2011 (UTC)

Lord of the Castle?
This might be unnecesary, but I found it worth asking for it. The trivia says that all of his battle themes are named after the whole concept of Marluxia, including "Lord of the Castle" as his posicion in Castle Oblivion. I disagree with the statement, as, now when know the origins of the Castle, that would make Aqua, or Eraqus "lords" of the Castle. So, I propose to change it to somenthing around the lines of "Finally, "Lord of The Castle" refers to the title Xemnas gave him inside Castle Oblivion"
Any objections?--Dark-EnigmaXIII 00:57, February 3, 2011 (UTC)

Marluxia planned as female
Xemnas - Ansem/Xehanort
It seems to be common knowledge that Marluxia was originally planned to be female, as stated on the page, but does anyone have a source for this? I've been looking through interviews on KHInsider and KH13, but I can't find anything about it. 19:10, 27 March 2020 (UTC)

:That trivia existed even before I came on as an editor back when the KHWiki was still with FANDOM, so I don't who originally added it. If there's no source, it should be removed.-- 00:58, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
