Lunge 'n' Launch (ストライドブレイク Sutoraido Bureiku , lit. "Stride Break"), also translated as Guard Break, is a technique introduced in Kingdom Hearts II. It allows the user to unleash a powerful finishing combo move while piercing through an enemy's guard.
Mechanics
In Kingdom Hearts II, Guard Break is an action ability exclusive to Sora that costs 3 AP to equip. It is a ground combo finisher that activates if Sora is attacking a single enemy, or by default if Explosion is not equipped. It allows Sora to pierce a single target's guard with a short, powerful thrust, launching them into the air and dealing Neutral damage.
In Kingdom Hearts III, Lunge 'n' Launch is an ability accessible in Second Form. It is the form's second ground combo finisher. Unlike its Kingdom Hearts II incarnation, Lunge n' Launch adds an arcing uppercut after the initial thrust.
