"In the universe of Kingdom Hearts, Davy Jones is unique for being able to remove his own heart without creating a Heartless and Nobody from doing so. Though its implied this is due to him not using a magical means of extracting the organ, which would have facilitated the process of creating the creatures. Despite this, Davy Jones is quite similar to a Nobody without his heart; unless its near his immediate vicinity, Davy Jones is incapable of genuinely feeling anything."
