We could, of course, do both. Have one of the events here and the other on The Keyhole. {{KeybladeSpyMaster|time=03:42, 5 October 2017 (UTC)|halloween=So, I propose a vote on the matter, seeing as no one is commenting any further. We can either have the tournament, the trivia contest, or both.
Just a quick update on the tournament. I've been mapping out the whole thing on an Excel document, and let me tell you, things will definitely be different than the Mirage Arena. So far, with the expectation of some brackets starting as early as October 16, there will be weeks where there will be around 25 different battles in order to get all of them finished by year's end. So things will definitely not drag out like the Mirage Arena has lately, because we would have multiple battles on different topics at the same time. Of course, each battle will only go for a week, and I'm thinking of making it just the five weekdays (it would allow for time to count the votes and change out for the next battles). I was also working on a code snippet that would make changing the subjects at battle easier. There are currently some brackets that we're going to be merging or nixing for the sake of time. As for rewards, the only thing I've come up with is, like I've noted before, site awards like those found [https://forums.khinsider.com/vbactivity.php?do=allawards here on KHInsider]. I'm working to make some based on the HD [[Trophies]]. I'll show you guys if/when I finish it.
We really need to determine if we're going to do this, though, since the Disney Character and Enemy brackets have to be determined by the 23rd in order to have a chance to have it finished by the end of the year if we get the 32 characters per bracket I'd like to have. Also, if we do the trivia, we need to start figuring out the details, like the trivia questions, so that it's ready by December.
'''EDIT:''' Here's a draft of the award-kinda deal I'm thinking of. https://i.imgur.com/MBn750n.png}}
{{FinalRest|time=08:40, 6 October 2017 (UTC)|happy=I like both tournaments and trivia, so I'm all for both. I'd also be more than happy to help with trivia questions if needed!
I like the idea of duplicating the tournament on both wikis so both communities are included, but if we end up doing both that and the trivia, could we maybe host one of the competitions here and the other on wikia? Then both wikis get something and we don't have to put in the extra effort of double hosting.
Also, for the tournament, I don't quite understand the incentive for editing articles. Why would we edit articles if we were are voting based on opinion? Is it for the best editor award? Or is it required to edit the page before you vote for it?
The medal looks lovely! Is something going to go in the middle? (Also, I know I am super late to the party, but welcome back all the same, KSM. I can't believe your mission is over already. Time flies! Hope you had fun. :D)}}
{{TheSilentHero|time=18:05, 6 October 2017 (UTC)|roy=If the arena fights start on October 16, I'll do one last round for the MA, and then I'll temporarily take it down. I get that both wiki's want to have part of the competition, but the trivia questions would just be a list of questions requiring all wiki's to find the information, and answers would need to be sent to the wiki mail, so nobody can look at other people's answers. So basically, it can be put up at both wiki's, without requiring any further editing. However, if as KSM said, the tournament has around 25 battles going at the same time, maybe we can spread them out over the two wiki's. So put half up here, and half at the Keyhole.
For the trivia questions, I could use one or two people to help out. The easiest would be if you had Discord or Messenger, so we can discuss the questions in private. IRC could also work, but you can't save your chat history there, so I'd prefer one of the other two. The preparations should start soon, but the actual competition would start somewhere mid-December.}}
