Sonic Surge (ソニックブレイク, Sonikku Bureiku, lit. "Sonic Break"), translated as "Sonic Blitz" in Kingdom Hearts χ, is a technique introduced in Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. It allows the user to perform a front-flip to strike an enemy with the Keyblade.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, Sonic Surge is an attack-type compiled command that targets a single enemy. It has a reload count of 65 and a strength modifier of 1.7. It has no attribute.

In Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ, Sonic Blitz is a special attack that targets a single enemy. It costs 1 special attack gauge to perform, and deals 5 hits at 1★ and 2★, 7 hits at 3★, 4★, and 5★, and 15 hits at 6★. Its base damage is x1.89, increasing to a maximum of x2.93 the more special attacks used in succession, and is strengthened in increments of 0.03 up to the fifth rank of strengthening, and 0.06 thereafter.

• Data-Sora can also combine various deck commands to achieve Sonic Surge.

• Sonic Break is the ability for cards 46: Riku, 233: Riku, 292: Cloud, 433: The King, 506: Master Eraqus, 511: Terra & Ventus, 564: Sora Brave F Ver., 646: Riku, 877: Braig, 882: Riku, 1054: Leon, 1361: Tidus, and 1364: Yuna & Rikku & Paine.
• Sonic Break+ is the ability for cards 38: Riku, 381: Hercules & Phil, 518: Sora & Riku, 734: Key Art #9, 1123: The King, 1147: Goofy, and 1650: Cloud.

Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ

• Sonic Blitz is the special attack for medal 55: Stitch.
• Sonic Blitz +1 is the special attack for medal 56: Stitch.
• Sonic Blitz +2 is the special attack for medals 57: Stitch and 268: Master Form Sora.
• Sonic Blitz +3 is the special attack for medals 58: Stitch and 269: Master Form Sora.
• Sonic Blitz +4 is the special attack for medals 59: Stitch and 270: Master Form Sora.
• Sonic Blitz +5 is the special attack for medals 60: Stitch and 271: Master Form Sora.
