As a follow up to this thread, particularly to one of the last points FM mentioned about creating a logo, I'd like to bring up the topic of deciding on a logo for the KHWV. Ideally, the logo should be able to represent the entire KH wiki community while still maintaining some uniqueness when compared to each of the wiki's logos. While we don't yet have a definite idea on how to accomplish this, I think it would be important to make sure that the logo doesn't display any sort of "superiority" or preference for any of the wikis to avoid a situation similar to the previous conflict between KHWiki and Keyhole. So far Chainoffire and myself came up with the idea of encompassing all of our logos emulating the foreteller's station rather than having a special design. A rough sketch can be seen here. This however, isn't close to being a final product and more suggestions are needed from the rest of the community to reach a consensus on what should be done to represent the KHWV. If anyone wants to provide images of their ideas that would be wonderful, otherwise I'd be happy to sketch some of them out to add some visual clarity to the concept or start defining more specific ideas. This forum is also hosted at the Keyhole so I'll be monitoring both sites to keep the treads up to date with the most relevant information, unless we decide to stick to one forum only due to organization and clarity. I think using a station of awakening is a great idea but wouldn't the logo be a bit too large in the end and too detailed for a small version? --ShardofTruth 16:59, 26 June 2016 (UTC)

The Station of Awakening could be a great background or image to have on our website (if we get round to setting that up). As a logo, which should be small, simple, but recognisable, so maybe a Wayfinder would do the job? It's easily identified by KH fans and reflects the alliance between wikis. If the wayfinder becomes the site's icon, like the KHWiki's crown or the Keyhole's keyhole, we'll also need a logo of the KHWV's name. For this, we could copy the KHWiki's logo (just the text with "verse" added to the end) because it makes sense that the KHWV's logo is directly modelled off the actual Kingdom Hearts logo. Alternatively, we could make a new logo featuring the Wayfinder as a central motif. TheFifteenthMember 17:49, 26 June 2016 (UTC)

I do like the idea of using a wayfinder, considering the fact that various of our logos make use of official symbols of the franchise. Do we have any specific idea on how this would look? Say, a specific color for the wayfinder or a certain style? The text part is quite clear so we'd only need to have the font that was used for KHWiki's logo. That aside, do we want to wait for more opinions before sketching the idea out? User input has been pretty low at the moment and I wouldn't want to outright impose the wayfinder idea on everyone. I'm also in favor of using a Wayfinder! I kinda like the look of this artwork, but it's a bit small. Maybe someone should make a bigger one in illustrator using just the star charm without the cord? Chainoffire 06:09, 7 July 2016 (UTC)

Since no one is against the wayfinder idea. Wayfinder it is! Now to continue the discussion, Do we have any specific idea on how this would look? Does anyone have access to this font? or know how to replicate it? What colors do we want? I'm thinking that Aqua's wayfinder is the most popular in my eyes, but would we want to use another persons? Hmm, so far the logos have been making use of symbols that happen to be quite "universal", meaning none of them are specifically tied to a certain character. If we'd like to do something similar we could just use a wayfinder and use a custom color that we feel represents us better, rather than using someone's specific wayfinder. Otherwise we could use Aqua's wayfinder. As for the font, if I'm not mistaken it should be the default KH font which isn't hard to obtain (I've got it already) however I have no clue how exactly to add the nice outline to the letters so we'd need to check if someone knows how to do it or happens to have a different font that does have the outline. I think that the "Kingdom Hearts" was ripped right off of a logo, and the "Wiki" was made in a different font. Perhaps we should just have "KHWiki", since it's much shorter? Chainoffire 06:57, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

Good find! I vote Chain's heart because of the crown and keyhole. We're aiming to use recognisable icons from the series, we're not planning on changing the logo for each new release ^_^ TheFifteenthMember 17:24, 16 September 2016 (UTC)

So I think that the voting is done, since it's been 2 weeks and only 1 vote has been cast in that time. So, the mobile logo it is! Now, do we want the same colors? It's very representative of the Keyhole colors, but it really doesn't represent the other sites imo. Thoughts? Chainoffire 06:04, 12 October 2016 (UTC)

Blue heart, yellow crown, black or grey crown? Not sure how that colour scheme will look on the eyes, but that's probably as true to the series and as representative to the Wikiverse as we can make it. TheFifteenthMember 15:33, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
