Mechanics
In Kingdom Hearts II, Experience Boost is a support ability that costs 3 AP to equip, 4 AP in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix.
In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, EXP Chance is a support ability that can be equipped once.
In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, EXP Boost is a support ability that can be equipped once.
Strategy
In Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, in critical mode, enemies are typically too strong to make any use of this ability early on in the game. Later on, when the player reaches The World That Never Was, the player will have reached a high enough level endure at least one attack and retain less than half of their total HP without dying. It is also a good idea to synthesize defense boosts to increase Sora's defense to allow him to endure attacks without dying. If Sora's HP is too low for the player's comfort, make use of a safe point by staying in it long enough so Sora's HP is just under half of his total HP. Although this method is tricky, it can triple Sora's EXP gain by equipping the support ability and the Gull Wing at the same time. However, as the player increases in level, this method becomes increasingly easier due to Sora's defense and attack stats increasing as he levels up.
