Dark Barrier (ダークバリア Dāku Baria ) is an technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. It allows the user to block attacks from any direction.
Mechanics
In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Dark Barrier is a defense command exclusive to Riku that can equipped in the place of a Block-type command, which can overlap with a Dodge Roll-type command. It generates a spherical barrier around the user when the player presses . It may be used in midair, causing Riku to briefly hover while the barrier is active, and overlapping with Air Slide. Dark Barrier grants +3 to Defense and +30 to Dark Resistance when attached to a Dream Eater recipe.

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance
- Sora can obtain Dark Barrier as a Drop Bonus for 60 DP after reaching Shop Level 7.
- Sora and Riku can purchase Dark Barrier from the Majik Lapin Ability Link for 10 Link Points.
- Sora and Riku can purchase Dark Barrier from the Me Me Bunny Ability Link for 10 Link Points.
- Sora and Riku can purchase Dark Barrier from the Medal Shop for 750 medals after reaching Shop Level 8.
