The best tactic to defeat the Infernal Engine is to stand still until the archers have locked onto your position then roll away at the last moment. This manipulate Infernal Engine's AI to use the bomb attack; at level 9 three or four of these should put you into limit range depending on your difficulty. After the bombs have ended stand at the back of the room without attacking Infernal Engine to manipulate the Infernal Engine's AI into launching cannonballs. Kill all the archers by reflecting them with Block. Once the crate phase has started you can manipulate the boss into doing the battering ram attack by only using air combos and ignoring the soldiers through the use of Air dash and high Jump. Once the battering ram appears simply limit it for high damage. However make sure to back away when the battering ram's ring turns white. After the ram has been launched return to air combos until the ram reappears causing Infernal Engine's AI to be stuck in a loop where he will only use his battering ram attack.
