What are we supposed to do with this page? The 2.5 localisers dropped the ball (like they did with a lot of things...LF Ragnarok anyone?) and just copy-pasted the "Shaman's Relic" name onto this weapon (and probably the + variant, but I don't have that). Merge, or leave it and note it somewhere? Any other suggestions? Ultima Spark (talk) 05:27, 19 April 2015 (UTC)
- We need to confirm what happened to the +, and then it will probably be worth merging them all -- they're clearly meant to be the same thing, just with adjusted names."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 17:35, 19 April 2015 (UTC)
- It's Shaman's Relic+ in English FM after all... Ultima Spark (talk) 20:54, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
- I'm confused...We've got basically three different staves in the original Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix: Shaman's Relic, Spell's Relic, and Spell's Relic+. Based on the screenshot Ultima Spark provided, one of the three is missing in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX. Which one is missing, then? KeybladeSpyMaster 21:05, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
- They're the same thing, "Shaman" items were just renamed as "Spell" in Japanese FM. Ultima Spark (talk) 21:17, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, but they exist separately in the original Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, no? In other words, there's supposed to be three different staves in the HD ReMIX because there are three different staves in the original. And this only occurs in the Japanese version? So all three exist in the NA version? KeybladeSpyMaster 21:41, 20 April 2015 (UTC)EDIT: Never mind, I just read the article. Spell's Relic replaces Shaman's Relic, right then? In which case, someone tacked the KHII gameicon to the Spell's Relic article incorrectly. KeybladeSpyMaster 21:43, 20 April 2015 (UTC)- EDIT...AGAIN: Wow, I understand now. For some reason, I understood the article to say that both Shaman's Relic and Spell's Relic were in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. I understand now, I was misunderstanding before. So then, is it just Spell's Relic in the original Japanese FM, or is it still Spell's Relic in Japanese HD 2.5 ReMIX? KeybladeSpyMaster 21:46, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
- I can't find anything specifically stating whether it's Spell's Relic or Shaman's Relic in the Japanese 2.5, but...the localizers for both 1.5 and 2.5 massively dropped the ball in consistency, in favor of trying to do one-off "corrections", whereas there's not really been any evidence of that in the Japanese game because the Japanese didn't change their minds on what to call things every. single. game. It should be safe to assume that only Ja-KH2 calls it "Shaman's Relic"."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 01:15, 21 April 2015 (UTC)
