There's another option, too. We can make the partnerships by site rather than the whole Kingdom Hearts Wiki-verse (so we're sticking with that, huh?). After all, the ''Kingdom Hearts'' Wiki-verse isn't supposed to make the three sites (or however many sites ultimately make this up) one site. All three sites are still separate sites that work together on things, but that doesn't make them one mega-site on all counts. So, we can have one site partner with KH13, and the other with KHInsider, if we wanted to.}} | There's another option, too. {{Xion4ever|time=03:04, 7 April 2015 (UTC)|text=I remember at the last roundtable I went to (which was a couple months ago- yikes!) we decided that if KHInsider never got back to us, we would talk to KH13. Truth be told, I don't see a problem with being affiliates or partners with both sites at once. I say we start with an affiliation first and then, as time progresses, slowly transform into partnerships if those two sites want to do so. I mean, c'mon, I'm willing to lay dollars to donuts that those guys look at our information just as much as we look at theirs. I think we're all in agreement that affiliating- in the least, linking back to each other- is a good idea. Now we have to determine how we want to contact both sites. Any thoughts on that? Does anyone here actively edit either site/have friends on said sites?}}
{{TheFifteenthMember|time={{User:TheFifteenthMember/Sig1}} 09:41, 7 April 2015 (UTC)|default=Yup TNE, that's what I meant. Have one site as a partner and one as an affiliate. With the way we're going to utilise this partnership, there's no need for having both. As KSM mentioned in his first post, we will use our partnership to take advantage of KH13's news feed and video walkthroughs. I don't see the latter being useful, seeing as we can already view them. Also, it makes the Let's Play the wiki has already started slightly redundant. I'm presuming the news feed will work by dedicating a small section of the wiki where KH13 writers come and post news or we simply link to an already existing KH13 feed. If we have two sites, it'd be difficult for them to coordinate together to write a shared news feed.
But to be honest, we really need to work out the structure of the KHWikiverse, identifying each wiki's purposes and such, so that everyone's on the same page. (In response to KSM's comment about the sites still being individuals: yes, but each individual still has a purpose within the overarching Wikiverse, which they should embrace to avoid overlap or redundancy between the other sites.)}} |
