It is an arrangement of Roxas's original theme, "Roxas", and plays as an orchestral piece that portrays Roxas's somber and troubled life as a Nobody confused about his identity. A stronger, more mellow, and deeper version of The Other Promise appears in Drammatica, which features Yoko Shimomura's most popular work. The Other Promise was also featured in the Piano Collections Kingdom Hearts.
