I don't really have too much to add. Everything so far looks good to me. I don't know how to take the color fading for the proposed KHX idea, though...That fade to black seems a bit too much, to me. Oh, and there is a misspelling on your version of the cleanup of the month Traverse Town page: "om." That's about it. {{User:Xion4ever/Sig}} 00:08, 3 August 2014 (UTC)

Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png We have here the next part of MegaProject: Arise: The revival of Clean-Up of the Month! Clean-Up of the Month is hosted in Traverse Town in the Fountain. The idea is this: Much like Featured Article, the community will vote here every month on an article we feel needs to be improved. I've taken the liberty of choosing one for this month, appropriately Traverse Town. It's up to you guys to choose what article you feel should be chosen next. Then, when elected, it will hopefully serve as a starting place for new editors and even for experienced editors looking for something to do. So go! Vote for next month's Clean-Up of the Month! August 2014

  • Xehanort - Keeping in line with the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX theme, I think this is an article that deserves major refining. Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.pngKeybladeSpyMaster Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png 03:51, 15 July 2014 (UTC)

TheFifteenthMember Yes. You're creepy. I can't say we'll miss you while you're gone, so it'd be best if you did go. We all win that way. TheFifteenthMember 18:56, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
I was under the impression that the Clean-up of the Month is supposed to be for a group or category of pages (e.g. magic articles, manga characters, BBS shotlock commands etc.). Individual pages like Traverse Town and Xehanort are more fitting for work at the Featured Articles, where people sometimes suggest an article that needs minor tweaking and the problems are fixed during the month.

To be honest, I completely forgot we were adding this to Traverse Town but since we are we need to do establish it properly, meaning we need to have a main page, nomination/voting page and archives all under the "KHWiki: space". We should consider giving it its own page in Traverse Town that links to the "KHWiki:Clean Up of the Month" page that we should create. Anyone up for adding the "Secret Waterway" back into the Third District?

DaysXionHooded.png
OPXion4EverIcon.png In general, yes, we did keep it to a category. However, since this month was spot of the moment, I'm cool with letting Traverse Town ride the rest of the month out and we pick up August with whatever we decide. Should we want to retain a group/category of pages, Xehanort can easily be changed into "Organization XIII members." If we're seeking an entirely new category...Lord knows the manga pages need some attention.

On the namespace: KSM and I discussed this on the IRC yesterday. He created this forum under my advice; I take the blame for any inconveniences/problems it causes people. One reason behind our logic was that more people look at forums than Traverse Town pages. At least, from what I see/read from our "older" editors. However, so long as someone promises to keep track of it on the mainspace- archiving, discussions, etc.- I'm cool with creating a KHWiki: version of it. As for a new page addition to Traverse Town...That is up for you guys to decide. To me, it is just another page I'll have to look at with one paragraph on it. I think we're okay leaving it at the Fountain.

TheFifteenthMember Ignoring how these caterpillars uttered what they're trying to say, I do agree.
For this month, yes, Traverse Town is okay. We need to sort this out to be prepared for next month, though. I do think the Clean Up of the Month should be a category so that we're getting the most benefit out of the projects. We should keep the categories low-key to avoid the month's workload from being too overwhelming.
Alrighty then. So, any proposals for next month? Xion4ever 20:19, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
A mini-project I'm focusing on is the creation or expansions of all Key Items. That's a possible thing we can do, perhaps, although I'm sure there are more urgent projects to do instead.
Also, if the Clean Up of the Month stays at the Fountain, the Third District image should mention it in the description of the Fountain. Personally, I would rather remake the Secret Waterway so that every Traverse Town page has their own distinct purpose or subject. Everyone else's opinions? TheFifteenthMember 18:07, 17 July 2014 (UTC)

Here's a list of ideas of what we can do for the next Clean Up:

  • Reformatting all stat articles.
  • Reformatting manga volume articles.
    • Or we can do "Reformatting manga character/chapter/all articles".
  • Reformatting key items.
  • Finishing off any of the old projects.

I'm going to make the KHWiki: Clean up of the Month articles after I receive responses for whether we're adding it to the main page and Traverse Town. But in the mean time, which project do you guys want to do I think we should finish one of the old projects? TheFifteenthMember 12:50, 21 July 2014 (UTC)

Definitely the old projects. There isn't much "everyone" can do with images...Though, I mean, we could do that. We should [probably] choose one with users already active on it. For examples/questions and such. Xion4ever 02:40, 22 July 2014 (UTC)
I'm fine with the old image project. We need a page with clear instructions of what to do, though.
Also for naming purposes, which name are we going for:
      • a) "Cleanup of the Month"
      • b) "Clean-up of the Month"
      • c) "Clean-Up of the Month"
      • d) "Clean Up of the Month"
      • e) "Clean up of the Month"
I think b looks the cleanest. TheFifteenthMember 11:39, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
EDIT: Also, should we consider adding voting/nominating for the Clean-up to the Chain of Rewards, probably before the Mirage Arena, edit 50 total edits? Hopefully by then, rookies will have the minimal experience required to understand the general structure of our policies, which will help them make the right decision when voting. TheFifteenthMember 11:50, 23 July 2014 (UTC)

Ok, so I've changed the 3rd District image so that it links to the Secret Waterway. I agree that it could be added to the Chain of Rewards. As for the name, I think C works best, since it should have the hyphen, and under English grammar, all important words in the title are supposed to be capitalized. Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.pngKeybladeSpyMaster Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png 16:52, 23 July 2014 (UTC)

Well, if it is images...a rough outline of what is needed is over here. If anyone wants to add on, go for it. Going from what we used in the past, I say "Cleanup of the Month." Also, cleanup is normally spelt as "cleanup" and not "clean-up," I believe. As for voting...Voting for this is more like "Hey, I think these articles need work!" So, fifty edits sound fair to me. Xion4ever 23:13, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
A google search verifies "Cleanup"'s grammatical correctness (it's American English only) so I don't mind going for that name. TheFifteenthMember 23:45, 23 July 2014 (UTC)

SORRY

HjFnsj1.png
TheFifteenthMember Myes, but THEY didn't know that! We have to consider THEM! And yet we must also be mysterious, myes, myes... TheFifteenthMember 23:59, 31 July 2014 (UTC)
I was extremely busy for the past few days so I couldn't prepare the CotM things a few days in advance (I like to blame it on the surprise guests) so I'm extremely sorry about rushing this and doing it last-minute! Due to this, I made a mistake and I thought that we should copy the format of Featured Articles and have pages like KHWiki:Cleanup of the Month/July 2014. However, I realised they're only necessary for the main page and the only place the template is used in on the hub page itself. Should we delete them and write the full text for the hub page?
So, you're saying we shouldn't use the "templates" for this like we normally do for the featured articles? I mean, I guess we could, but I don't particularly see a problem with using the templates. I don't think we did that in the past, but oh well. This would be less coding on the main page, plus, if we decide to do the Template:Main Page idea mentioned on the IRC last week, this will make things easier. Just my thoughts, though. Xion4ever 00:35, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
The main page doesn't use the template because there's not enough space for the entire Cleanup excerpt. That's why there's just the picture and the "This month is the image renovation" thing. The template is only used on the hub page currently. What was the Template:Main Page idea, can I ask? TheFifteenthMember 00:44, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
We can't use the Template:Main Page idea, 'cuz my understanding tells me it'd mess up with the mobile Main Page (unless we make a separate version, like was proposed). The idea is essentially make all the boxes as a template and then use the template instead of coding each box. Obitus suggested it, and made a draft here.
Here's what I'm thinking: We implement the Template:Main Page, create a separate Main Page for the mobile version like Porple mentioned, and we could add the Cleanup, but I don't know where. As for the templates related to the Cleanup, I think we should model it like the Featured User: Use one template for the Main Page (or the Hub in Traverse Town, wherever it will go) and use a Previous Cleanup page to put the previous ones. Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.pngKeybladeSpyMaster Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png 00:49, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
What will be the actual benefit of the Template:Main Page, though? Most of the coding for the main page is already fairly compacted and neat; the FU and FA already have their own templates too. Also if we're giving CotM its own box, we can replace it with the Countdown (since it's a temporary feature) and the Quote of the Moment (we already agreed to remove that anyway). Should I add it now? TheFifteenthMember 19:03, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
I'm playing with the template in my Main Page draft, the idea behind it is to remove all the formatting code that is repeated throughout the page and instead use a template so that the formatting code is only created once. As for a box on the main page, I was thinking that the Cleanup was fine in Traverse Town (plus, it gives reason to go to Traverse Town). The countdown is temporary, so I think it should just stay there until December. Again, I personally like the Quote, but if I'm outnumbered, go ahead and remove it. I'll find somewhere to put it (maybe I'll just use it on my own userpage). Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.pngKeybladeSpyMaster Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png 19:16, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

Once the countdown is finished, there'll be more blank space on the right column and there's already some empty space at the bottom of the left column, so there should be space to add a Cleanup box. If we do decide to keep it at Traverse Town, could we do anything to make it stand out more? Maybe a darker background or border colour to make it distinct from the rest of Traverse Town? TheFifteenthMember 19:25, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

That could work, too. Simply push SEIWA down and put it just above, right? If we keep it in Traverse Town, we could change the color, if we wanted to, or add a border. That isn't a problem. Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.pngKeybladeSpyMaster Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png 19:55, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
I've got this and this. What do you think? (Also, on the Main Page draft, hover over the Kingdom Hearts X logo, it's part of something else I'd like to propose that I just figured out, but that's just a taste) Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.pngKeybladeSpyMaster Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png 06:26, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
For the Main Page, rather than using the magic broom image shouldn't we use the Picture image relating to the current Cleanup so that attention is given to the actual projects themselves? Also with the Traverse Town link, it's probably better to say "Find additional information at the Secret Waterway of Traverse Town" since it links directly to the relevant page. P.S: Great main page colours for the 2.5 theme :P TheFifteenthMember 13:33, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
How is that now? I think what we could do to even the columns is switch the Featured Media with Cleanup of the Month, but I don't know if we want to do that. Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.pngKeybladeSpyMaster Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png 17:04, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
It's perfect. Switching the FM with the Cleanup would also mean that all the Featured Content is grouped into one column so I'm fine with that. TheFifteenthMember 21:05, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
