Let's face it -- featured users is dead. There hasn't been any voting or nominations in, what, two months? What the eitch are we going to do about it? I'm taking the liberty of opening this discussion up here, rather than waiting for the Roundtable. (it almost feels like we're getting a little too reliant on Roundtables...) So, yes. Fate of Featured Users. Discuss. I'd open with a suggestion (besides killing it) myself... but I actually have nothing :I

DoorToNothing — I dreamed last night... I got on the boat to Heaven! And by some chance, I had brought my dice along! — 04:11, 13 September 2011 (UTC) I was never really supportive of Featured Users in the first place. It allows unprofessional writing to appear on the front page, often containing links to works of fan art or completely non-KH sites. Like you said there are simply no more users left, so I suggest we just get rid of it. Plus, this makes more room for the remodeled main page. Yay!

LapisScarab - You accept darkness, yet choose to live in the light. So why is it that you loathe us who teeter on the edge of nothing? We who were turned away by both light and dark - never given a choice? TALK - That may be... however, what other choice might we have had? People either haven't been active enough to warrant earning a nomination or they're already staff members. It was a nice thing to have for a while, but it seems to have run its course. I don't have any other ideas.

I'm not sure I should comment, since I only ever ignored the Featured User thing, but it seems that it's only use is in directing a flood of casual editors towards being halfway useful—Let me know if I'm wrong—which is a bit pointless in our current state. Yes, I was planning on ending it (I was going to announce it at the Roundtable [since it was to be discussed then] if no one showed their editting valor). However, if, in the future, the wiki becomes alive again, it will be resurrected.
