A few floors below her, Sora uses the card given to him by Axel. This card takes Sora back to the Destiny Islands. Sora mentions that his most precious memories were made here. This prompts Jiminy to say they might find Namine here. The two temporarily think about Donald and Goofy, deciding that they will catch up.

On the Destiny Islands Sora continues searching for Namine, eventually running into Riku. While the two talk, Sora has a brief flashback of [[Kairi|another girl]]. Suddenly, the islands are taken over by darkness. Finding a girl just ahead, Sora runs to her, finding the girl to be Namine.

Larxene and Marluxia host a small celebratory party in light of their upcoming success. Marluxia sends Larxene to fetch Axel and Namine. Larxene enters a nearby room, finding neither of the two. She returns to the computer lab, eventually discovering Axel's betrayal.

After Namine left, Axel went to find the Riku Replica. Eventually finding the gloomy experiment, Axel convinces the Replica to ask Namine whose memory is real: his, or Sora's?

Sora looks at his good luck charm, now returned to its original form. However, he still cannot remember the original girl's name. Just as Namine is about to speak, the Riku Replica arrives, claiming Sora tried to steal his and Namine's memories. The Replica takes Sora's good luck charm. The Replica prepares to smash the charm, only to be stopped by Namine. Instantly the Replica falls to the ground, lifeless. Larxene appears, stating Namine has destroyed Riku's heart.
