:All I know is that KHII takes place one year after KH1, which is ten years after BBS; thus, the time between BBS and KHII is eleven years. Sora and Riku were stated to be fourteen and fifteen, respectively, in KH1, and they both appeared at the respective ages of four and five. As over twelve years have been confirmed, they are sixteen and seventeen, respectively, in KH3D. But the amount of time between KHII and KH3D? ::Well for all we know, the dozen years between BbS and 3D may only be just a rough estimate. 11 is only one number from a dozen (12). A dozen could be just a slight exaggeration. But at the same time it could actually have been a year between KH2 and 3D. One thing to take into account, is that in ''Blank Points'', where Ansem the Wise meets Aqua, he estimated that it had been a year or so since he had seen Sora, and that was shown before the scene where Sora, with Mickey's letter in hand, decides to going on a journey to find the lost Keyblade wielders.
