The Genji Shield is a shield that can be wielded by Goofy in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II.
Design
The Kingdom Hearts Genji Shield is shaped like an elongated octagon with slightly rounded, thick, blue edges. Each of its corners is decorated by orange and white stripes. The face of the shield is light pink and has several thin, horizontal, black lines on it. A large, circular symbol is adorned in the center of the shield’s face. Its border is black and it sports three blue tomoe, while the rest of the symbol is white.
In Kingdom Hearts II, The Genji Shield is hexagonal with black edges and red-violet and light grey stripes on the corners. There are swirling, magenta and pink decorations on either side of the shield that vaguely resemble flames. The face of the shield now sports three violet, slightly more ornate tomoe, with the rest of the face being white.
It shares its name with one piece of the set of Genji equipment that appears in many Final Fantasy games, and are commonly dropped by the warrior Gilgamesh. The design in Kingdom Hearts bears resemblance to its appearance in Final Fantasy V.
