Troubling Question
{{Cecil|text=This has nothing to do with Sephiroth, but while reading the Heartless Angel thing in the Trivia section, where it says that Kefka used it first, I remembered a question that has been bothering me for sometime now, and here it is:  Why is it that none of the characters from Final Fantasies I through VI (except from Setzer who was changed a lot) and IX (other than Vivi, who has also changed a great deal from his original appearance) appear on any Kingdom Hearts game?  I've only known of the Dissidia versions of Warrior of Light, Garland and Firion appearing as mere avatars on Kingdom Hearts Mobile and that can be explained by the fact that Nomura redrew the characters for Dissidia, while using a very similar art style from that of the Kingdom Hearts series I might add.  I'm not saying all of them, but it would be cool to see Cecil and Golbez in at least one of the games (their concept of Light and Darkness fits in very well with the series mythos) or Terra and Locke and/or Kefka, or Kuja.  I'm also sorry for posting this here, I didn't find any other place to post it, I thought that putting it in my Talk Page it would be ignored since i've been innactive for a very long time.  Lastly I'm sorry for the long speech, I tend to do that I talk a lot.  To summarize, i just want to know if there's official proof, like Nomura saying why, if not, speculation is welcomed.  Thank you ^_^.
EDIT: While XI is understandable and XII wans't released by the time KHII was released, they are both out of the question, but XII is another candidate of exclusion, since no characters appeared in Days and none have been announced or revealed for Birth by Sleep, on a side note, Balthier or Gabranth would be cool though.}}

is the sephiroth in kh2 an unversed like vanitas?
:Nope, Sephiroth is not an Unversed, he's just another villian like Jafar or Oogie Boogie. However, he is often referred to as the embodiment of Cloud's darkness.--<span style="color:black">Xion</span><span style="color:darkred">4</span><span style="color:maroon">ever</span> 23:51, March 9, 2010 (UTC)
I would say that Sephiroth is an Unversed, except that Cloud still has darkness in his heart.
Maybe Sephiroth was able to return as the "embodiment of Cloud's Darkness" possibly due to the Jeonova Cells in his body.

I think Cloud's home world is Radiant Garden. Leon, Aerith, and Cid all recognize him, so it's highly likely that he lived there, left after its fall like the others did, and went to Olympus Coliseum. Shouldnt we label Sephiroth and YMX(KHBBS)and the Dustflyer in KH365/2 says as "Superboss"?
In a lot of Square Enix games a boss that is more challangeing then the final boss is called a "Superboss".
Its not just Kingdom hearts, final fantasy has them too. and in the world ends with you mr. Hanekoma is a superboss.
i just thought we should make a page for it. Look here-->  http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Superboss

:I dislike this idea since there are quite a lot of super bosses but mainly because there are bosses which some may say are a super boss while others won't. For example Vanitas Remnant. He is a very hard boss but there's also the Unknown. And I don't think Dustflier is a superboss since he is too easy. Calm down, Zack, he says that in Kingdom Hearts but that doesn't mean that its the name or we'd have Leon's Blasting Zone labeled "ITS OVER!". Its not confirmed in any way and its entirely possible that its called Heartless Angel and the "Descend" part is just Sephiroth casting it or something. XienZo 01:22, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

It's Heartless Angel because that's what it's always been and if Sora says "heal" everytime he uses cure then wouldn't it be called heal? User:Vatek

I'm pretty sure the "Descend" part is just dialougue, the FF Wikia also names it just "Heartless Angel" as does FFVII. 24.138.198.123 03:57, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

This has nothing to do with Sephiroth, but while reading the Heartless Angel thing in the Trivia section, where it says that Kefka used it first, I remembered a question that has been bothering me for sometime now, and here it is: Why is it that none of the characters from Final Fantasies I through VI (except from Setzer who was changed a lot) and IX (other than Vivi, who has also changed a great deal from his original appearance) appear on any Kingdom Hearts game?

EDIT: While XI is understandable and XII wans't released by the time KHII was released, they are both out of the question, but XII is another candidate of exclusion, since no characters appeared in Days and none have been announced or revealed for Birth by Sleep, on a side note, Balthier or Gabranth would be cool though.

See, all the Final Fantasy characters that have appeared in the KH series, with the sole exception of Vivi, were characters Nomura designed. Nomura has said that he didn't feel comfortable using the ones he didn't design himself in the KH series. The reason Vivi is the exception is because there was a large fan demand for him in Japan.

ETA: For the record, Nomura has designed Setzer and Shadow in FFVI and the casts of VII, VIII, X, XIII, Agito XIII and Versus XIII.

Okay, so that clears it up, thank you Harpie Siren, my doubt is finally gone, it's unfortunate though that all those other characters won't appear on KH, but oh well. Also it's cool to know that Nomura designed Setzer and Shadow, I didn't know that before. Thank you ^_^.

Happy to be of assistance. ^^

Is this worth noting?[edit]

As far as I can tell Sephiroth is the only FF villain in KH. I think I'll add that to the trivia. Black Tornado 18:26, February 28, 2010 (UTC)Black Tornado

embodyment of clouds darkness?[edit]

is the sephiroth in kh2 an unversed like vanitas?

Nope, Sephiroth is not an Unversed, he's just another villian like Jafar or Oogie Boogie. However, he is often referred to as the embodiment of Cloud's darkness.--Xion4ever 23:51, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

I would say that Sephiroth is an Unversed, except that Cloud still has darkness in his heart.

Maybe Sephiroth was able to return as the "embodiment of Cloud's Darkness" possibly due to the Jeonova Cells in his body. this is just a hypothesis. but it does make some sense. Chaosmage1

Come to think of it...[edit]

Is it really such a surprise that Sephiroth and Sora don't recognise each other. I mean, would YOU recognise a total stranger you fought in a fight over a year ago? Who agrees?(Bananaphone1996 04:30, May 13, 2010 (UTC))

That is circumstantial. Considering the amount of effort and time I had to put in to beat Sephiroth, I'd remember that son of a b*tch. --JFH_Sig_zpsfaa1e7d5.jpg 05:41, May 13, 2010 (UTC)

Well, It might be something to do with the Memory menipulation or the possibility that, like the LS, there might not be a place within timeline for the Platinum Match. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!!!!!--I'llCrushYou! 06:34, May 13, 2010 (UTC)

Sora does have time for the Hades Cup, though, and its indicated he had time for Kurt Zisa. It might simply be that Sephiroth doesn't care at all, and Sora's had his memories dicked with.Glorious CHAOS! 07:16, May 13, 2010 (UTC)

Why is Lance Bass listed in the Japanese Voice Actors section?[edit]

Last I looked, Morikawa was the one who was the Japanese VA for all of the KH games. *goes to edit* Notherland 20:45, October 7, 2010 (UTC)

Nevermind, answered my own question. KHFM used the English voice acting tracks. Notherland 20:55, October 7, 2010 (UTC)

World[edit]

peaceblack.png I think we should change Seph. and Cloads Homeworld to ??????????? or what ever their HW is in FF, but technicly they're created by something, I don't know much about FF, but even Goofy asks, "Did they go back to their Home World, G'yuk!" but no one knows.

I think Cloud's home world is Radiant Garden. Leon, Aerith, and Cid all recognize him, so it's highly likely that he lived there, left after its fall like the others did, and went to Olympus Coliseum. And since Sephiroth in KH is Cloud's Darkness, that means they're technically from the same world. --66.215.20.249 06:24, November 14, 2010 (UTC)

peaceblack.png Good point, but how do they disappear? And were do they go?

Octaslash[edit]

Yesterday I edited the page, noticing that Sephiroth's multi-swing attack, is called "a different version of Cloud's Omnislash" when it is called Octaslash in both Crisis Core and Dissidia. I added the name but it was removed, why is that? --BGMaxie 15:20, November 28, 2010 (UTC)

probably because they thought it was speculation, I'm not sure though. The17Gull Wing Keychain KHII.pngMaster

I'm not sure how important this really is, but technically, Octaslash was never a named move until Crisis Core. I'm not sure what the move would be considered in KH1, but it does seem like Nomura is trying to say "Cloud is the only one who can use Omnislash."75.206.104.221 05:25, 17 March 2012 (UTC)

superboss?[edit]

Shouldnt we label Sephiroth and YMX(KHBBS)and the Dustflyer in KH365/2 says as "Superboss"? In a lot of Square Enix games a boss that is more challangeing then the final boss is called a "Superboss". Its not just Kingdom hearts, final fantasy has them too. and in the world ends with you mr. Hanekoma is a superboss. i just thought we should make a page for it. Look here--> http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Superboss Unknown3619 (talk) 15:41, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

I dislike this idea since there are quite a lot of super bosses but mainly because there are bosses which some may say are a super boss while others won't. For example Vanitas Remnant. He is a very hard boss but there's also the Unknown. And I don't think Dustflier is a superboss since he is too easy. Its not neccessary so I say leave it out. --TheFifteenthMember 16:23, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

Yeah I was thinking that when I typed it in. But had too make sure you know? Unknown3619 (talk) 16:53, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

It shouldn't be a "super boss," per se, but because the bosses are optional (side quests,) just call them "Optional Bosses" or something to that effect. Keyblade KHREC.png~D3xus 17:29, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

wait! We already do that! Awesome! I guess this whole coversation was a waste of time. Sorry! carry on. Unknown3619 (talk) 17:33, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
